1. In view of the implementation of the 2021 Brigada Eskwela and Oplan Balik Eskwela, this
School Safety and Preparedness Guide is issued to ensure safety and preparedness of
our learners and personnel before, during and after emergencies. Among those listed
below are the most appropriate and important in schools with the aim of promoting
sustainable and safe living.
2. Attached list will be monitored by the DRRM Coordinator, School Nurse, and MAPEH
Teachers in their respective grade level.
3. For widest dissemination, guidance, and compliance.

1. Disaster preparedness of schools is an important factor to achieve resilience in our

communities. DepEd, through the 2021 Brigada Eskwela, seeks to mainstream disaster
preparedness principles in readying schools for the opening of classes.
2. Enclosed for ready reference is the School Watching Checklist and School Safety and
Preparedness Guide will be monitored by the DRRM Coordinator.
3. Immediate dissemination and compliance with this memorandum is directed.
