HYSSOP

Hyssopus officinalis

Hyssop is mentioned 12 times in the Bible. That was also sacred to ancient
Greeks, has a fresh, woody scent that is slightly sweet. Hyssop is noted for its
purifying proprietes.

Comes from a Hebrew word “ezob” meaning “holy herb”

USES FOR:
- AROMATHERAPY TO SUPPORT THE RESPIRATORY AND
DIGESTIVE SYSTEM.
- FOR SKIN- is good choice for wounds and bruises. It is antibacterial,
antiviral, and acts as an astrigent
- SPIRITUAL USES
- WOUND HEALING- you can make a wound wash with a drop or two of the
oil in a bowl of cool water. Mix the oil well in the water and soak a towel in it,
the place the towel on the affected area.
- INCREASES CONCENTRATION/ REDUCE MENTAL FATIQUE- Put a
drop or 2 on a cotton ball or tissue and keep it in a closed baggie so that you
can take a whiff when you need a mental pick –me-up. You can also add it by
itself a personal diffuser.
- EASES MUSCLE ACHES AND JOINT PAINS- Hyssop is a spasmolytic,
so can halp ease aching muscles and joints. It may even reduce the pain of
arthritis.
Add 2-3 drops of oil to a teaspoon of a carrier oil such as coconut and gently
massage the affected area.
- Help support a already normal blood presure and acts as a calming substance

APPLICATION:
1. Apply to abdomen to soothe stomach discomfort
2. Use to support a healthy liver and gallbladder
3. Add a few dros to your moisturizer to help reduce the appearance of

6. Add a few drops to lotion and rub on chest when congested.
7. Inhale directly from cupped hands.
8. Add a drop with honey to tea to help soothe a sore throat.
