B. Motivation:

I have prepared some sight words here! Let’s

read them together.

First we have:

And family Family

“So, why did I give you these sight words? “ “Because the words pertains in you.”

“Alright! All of these words pertains to me.

(animation)”

I am your teacher(ituro), a eighteen(ituro) year

old girl(ituro), I like to dance(ituro) and I am a
loving(ituro) member of my family(ituro)!

II. Lesson Proper:

Now, why did I share those things about

myself? It is because our topic for today is all (The student’s will listen carefully)
about… Introducing oneself and one’s family!

Alright kids, this year, we did not have the

opportunity to introduce ourselves in the
classroom in front of each other.

But still, let’s learn what you need to say when

introducing yourself. So when we see each
other soon, we could do our introduction then.

Ok, every first day of school, the teacher

usually asks your name and some things about
you.
“We need to introduce ourselves to the
“Why do you need to introduce yourself to class to get to know me better.”
the class?”

(Very good! You need to introduce yourself to

the class so that your classmates can know you
better.)

And Do you know what you need to say when “Yes ma’am! We need to say our name,
you are introducing yourself? age, address, the name of my family
members and the favorite things and
hobbies.”
(yes! When you are introducing yourself, you
need to tell your name, age, address, the name
of your family members, and your favorite
things and hobbies.)

-Now let us see how Joy introduced herself to

her classmates and teachers.

-Like Joy, each one is important and has

something to share. We get to know one
another better by telling things about
ourselves.

-As we introduce ourselves, we state our

name, birthday, age, address, name of family
members, favorite things, food, and hobbies.

Please listen as I read Joy’s introduction.

(The student’s will listen carefully.)
Hello! My name is Joy Cruz.

I am a girl. I am 6 years old.

I have a little brother.
I love my family.
I live in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija.
I have a pet dog.
I have a pet dog.
I am in grade 2.
I am studying at Ligaya, Elementary School.
I love my school and my classmates.
I like to draw.
I want to be a teacher when I grow up.

Like Joy, I hope that you will also be able to

share all the things about you in front of your
classmates and other people.

You don’t have to be shy in introducing

yourself, because these things about you make
you special and unique. It is nice to know other
people as well.
Now, look at this.

It’s a family picture!

Do you have a family picture in your house? “Yes ma’am!”

In the family, we have father(ituro),

mother(ituro), brother(ituro), sister(ituro) and
sometimes, even our pets. We consider them
as family member.

Ok, Listen to me carefully as I read the (The student’ will listen carefully)
following sentences about this family.

My family!
This is my family.
This is my loving father.
This is my caring mother.
(Girl): I am the family’s daughter.
(Boy): I am the family’s son.
We are always kind and loving to our family
and friends.
And nice and caring to our wonderful pet.

Alright, we all belong to a family, right? it is

good for us to get to know our family
members well.

Our family loves us and cares for us. We live

and grow with them. We do things together.

Spending more time with your family is more

enjoyable than going outside, isn’t it?

Kids, don’t be sad if you can’t go outside and

play, because your parents are just thinking of
your own safety.

At home, each of the family members have

rules and responsibilities to follow.
Rules at home help everyone in the family get
along better.
Rules at home should be followed because
these rules teach us to be responsible.
Ok, I’ve prepared here some examples of rules
and responsibilities at home:
We eat and drink together in the dining area.
We talk nicely to our family and friends.
If we make a mess, we clean it up.
We ask before taking or doing something.
We listen to each other and we use our
manners.
Rules at home are very important for us. How
about you, do you also have rules at home? “Yes ma’am!”
III. Generalization:

“Do you understand our lesson?” “Yes ma’am!”

Alright to test your knowledge about our
lesson I have here a question.

“What is the title of our lesson today?”

“Our lesson for today is all about
“Okay! Very good! Another question”
introducing oneself and one’s family!”
“What is our lesson all about?”

“Very good! It seems that you really “it is all about ourselves and family”
understood our lesson.”
