Reflection Paper

Cresencia, Rene Bhoy

On the first week of our On-the-Job Training I learned about the importance of precise data gathering
and the 4 basic types of data: Nominal, Ordinal, Interval, Ratio. When I understand this 4 basic types of
data I enlighten my idea about crafting and well-structed questioner and ensuring the accurate data
encoding and I have the knowledge in appropriate use of bracket for a certain question such as age, sex,
religion etc that lectured by our adviser. I also learned how to use Statistical Package for the Social
Science (SPSS) that is a powerful software designed for complex statistical data analysis I learned to use
in data manipulation and coding ,which would significantly facilitate the data analysis process, and the
SPSS is more useful than Excel because it has more advance spreadsheet which is more reliable to use in
our field.

Second week was on field training we work as an assistant in different station like in registrar, clinic, and
Supreme Student Council for pre-enrolment we experience how to assist students and interview them in
the clinic we show here the real-world to apply our skills.

As the days goes by we’re in our third week we still support the registrar in pre-enrollment until the last
day of the enrollment. After we assist the registrar our adviser discuss about basic writing of research
paper and using Google Scholar and ResearchRabbit I learn about how useful site it was and absolutely
free those site are use to search related studies in our research.

Final week I saw the importance of teamwork as we focused on our goal in finishing the research paper
and I get a wider knowledge on how to do a realistic research paper and I also learned a lot of tools that
is useful to make a research paper thank you for our kind and handsome adviser Andhee M. Jacobe for a
patient and clear teaching. I am thankful to be part of this 200 hour On the Job Training I use this all
experience and learnings when I get my on research study.
