II. BACKGROUND
Study habit is; buying out a dedicated scheduled and
un-interrupted time to apply one‟s self to the task of
learning. Without it, one does not grow and becomes self
–limiting in life. Study habits tell a person that how
much he will learn and how far he wants to go, and how
much he wants to earn. These all could be decided with
the help of one‟s study habits, throughout the life
(Rabia, M., et. Al., 2017).
Good study habits accelerate scholastic performance
than others with the same level of intelligence. Study
habits have a vital role in the life of a student.
Generally, each student’s success or failure is
determined by one’s own study habits. Study habits act as
the building blocks for learning and success among
students. With appropriate guidance and motivation from
teachers’ time to time, students develop an attentiveness
and enthusiasm in learning and thus good study habits
(Lone, R.A., 2021).

At the heart of student achievement are study habits.
It is a task such as reading, writing observations,
arranging groups of studies that students mostly and
frequently perform to achieve learning objectives. It
could be described as beneficial or detrimental,
depending on the students' good results (Tus, J., et.
al., 2020.
The researcher observed that Academic Achiever possess
distinct study habits crucial to their academic
achievements. These include disciplined study routines,
dedicated study time, proactive learning strategies, high
motivation, and effective self-regulation skills.
Academic Achievers demonstrate a deep understanding of
the material through critical thinking and knowledge
synthesis, enabling them to apply their knowledge
innovatively. The observations underscore the vital role
of study habits in academic success, offering valuable
insights to assist struggling students in developing
effective study practices for achieving success.

The significance of this study lies in its potential to
unravel patterns between study habits and key factors
such as time management, active learning strategies, goal
setting, self-regulation skills, and motivation. This
research seeks to bridge the gap in our understanding of
how these components interplay and impact academic
performance. Additionally, by unraveling the dynamics of
study habits, we aim to shed light on the underlying
elements contributing to academic success.
III. OBJECTIVES AND METHODS
The primary objective of this research is to
investigate the specific study habits employed by
academic achievers and discern their direct impact on
academic performance. By scrutinizing the nuances of
study habits, we aim to uncover valuable insights into
the relationship between these habits and various
contributing factors. These facets collectively form a
complex web that influences how students approach their
studies and subsequently achieve academic success.
Through a comprehensive understanding of the study habits

of academic achievers, this research aspires to offer
practical recommendations for students, educators, and
educational institutions. By delineating effective study
practices, we aim to contribute to the optimization of
learning environments, leading to enhanced learning
outcomes and overall academic success.
This study adopts a purposive research design, aiming
to gain in-depth insights into the study habits of
academic achievers. The purposive design allows for a
targeted selection of participants who have demonstrated
exceptional academic performance, ensuring the relevance
and specificity of the data collected. The researcher
will use an interview transcript as the instrument.
