(FEBRUARY 23-25, 2022)
Due to this, Ms. Erma A. Banayat being the District ICT
Coordinator, initiated the conduct of the 3-Day Virtual Capability
Enhancement Training-Workshop of School ICT Coordinators on ICT and
PNPKI Digital Signature. This training aimed to capacitate teachers on
the use of different Google and Digital Applications, Livestreaming
for Education, Basic Adobe Photoshop Lay-outing and Editing; enable
teachers to download and install their PNPKI digital signature; and
encourage teachers to apply the knowledge learned as a salient part of
the teaching-learning process and ICT-related reports.
The virtual training started on February 23, 2022. Preliminaries
were presented through audio-video presentation. An opening remarks
was given by Ms. Erma A. Banayat, followed by a roll call lead by
Ma’am Sherlyn A. Limbawan, the School ICT Coordinator of Dr.
Hermogenes F. Belen Elementary School. Unfortunately, due to conflict
in schedule, our officials from Division Office and PSDS were not able
to give their inspirational message. However, they assured the
participants that they wish the best for the success of the training.
Part of the oprning program was the orientation of all participants.
Again, Ms. Banayat read and explained the purpose and objectives of
the training.
The training proper was formally started with Session 1:
Introduction to the Different Google Applications. The speaker was Ms.
Banayat. She tackled about the background and importance of the
different Google applications as well as other digital applications FB
Classroom and ClassPoint.
Session 2 was about Using Drive and Meet. It was discussed in
detailed by Ma’am Analiza E. Osoteo, the School ICT Coordinator of
Ambaracao Sur Elementary School. She showed everyone the step-by-step
of using Google Drive and Meet. The participants were happy to learn
on how to save and back-up files using the drive found on the DepEd
accounts. Additional knowledge were also shared by Ma’am Osoteo on the
special features of Google Meet.
Using Google Docs and Sheets was the third session for the day.
The participants enjoyed the witty discussion of Sir Regie C.
Bustamante, the School ICT Coordinator of Northern Naguilian National
High School. This was a basic topic but everyone was given more
knowledge on how to manipulate and effectively use Google Docs and
Sheets. Step-by-step procedures were shared by Sir Bustamante.
In the afternoon, Ma’am Eizenne Roxanne S. Pulmano, the School
ICT Coordinator for Junior High School of Suguidan Integrated School,
had relevant and interesting discussion of Google Classroom, FB
Classroom and ClassPoint. The participants showed eagerness in
learning about the apps because they found them very interactive and
useful for the online teaching.
After the discussion of the three topics, workshops were
conducted. Participants were given ample time to explore more and make
meaningful outputs that they could share to the group. The workshops
were facilitated by the speakers of the day. The participants were
diligent to submit their outputs in the links provided by the
speakers. Before the day ended, there were presentation and critiquing
of outputs. Minor problems with the outputs were observed by the
speakers, and they corrected eventually.
The team successfully proceeded to the second day of the
training. It was then started with attendance checking, singing of the
preliminary songs, energizer and recapitulation of yesterday’s topics.
The first speaker for the day was Ma’am Mariza R. Mapalo, the District
ICT Coordinator of Aringay District. She shared her expertise on
Creating Live Streaming for Education. The topic became engaging to
the participants who showed active participation in making their first
live streaming on their official School FB Pages. The School ICT
Coordinators of Naguilian District were indeed very lucky to have a
speaker who was expert and generous in sharing her knowledge.
For the session in the afternoon, Ma’am Dorothy A. Calica, the
School ICT Coordinator for Senior High School of Daramuangan
Integrated School made a detailed presentation about Basic Lay-outing

use of each tool in Adobe Photoshop. The participants who were mostly
first-timers to use the application were grateful to know about it.
For them it will be very relevant to them especially that they are
often tasked by their school heads in making tarpaulin, certificates
and banners for school activities. The participants were able to make
their own outputs. They were presented and critique by the speakers.
The speaker herself was amaze of the teachers’ creativity and hard
work in accomplishing their outputs.
The last day of the training was opened with the usual attendance

Installing PNPKI Digital Signature, a speaker from Burgos District,
Ma’am Dhoury M. Padillo who was DICT trained was invited. The speaker
was patient enough to demonstrate the steps in downloading and
installing PNPKI Digital Signature. As a result, mostly of the School
ICT Coordinators have followed the procedures. There was only
challenges on the part of the teachers, who have not tried the hands-
on because they have not received yet their PNPKI confirmation.
Nevertheless, Ma’am Padillo made a comprehensive presentation which
she shared to the group for their reference.
The day was concluded with a closing program. There was closing
