NARRATIVE REPORT

Magsaysay National High School conducted its closing ceremony of SLAC sessions for
teachers. After the several sessions conducted, teachers now gained more ideas and
knowledge that will help them to become more productive educators for their students. They
can now also impart the knowledge that they had learn to their students and inspired them to
continue studies and have a better future someday. It is true that teachers are the instrument
for students’ mission for future, so, they have a big responsibility so that their students could
make their dreams into reality. Through this SLAC session, the ideas and skills of teachers to
becomes more knowledgeable was happen.

To manifest the fire burning in the heart of teachers after this SLAC sessions, Sir Eymard
Diezmo, a junior high school teacher, give his insight. He is very thankful for all the learning
that he gains from the sessions, including the different strategies in teaching that are showed
by the LAC participants, the teachers. Maam Elsa Orjeta, Senior High School teacher also give
her insight. She said that she is thankful that despite of the Pandemic we continuously
delivered quality learning to the students. It was happened because of cooperation and
continuous seminars attended by the teachers. The program will not end without the giving of
certificates of participation to the participants and speakers who exert their efforts and do their
task for this event. This kind of session is really needed by the teachers to become updated on
the job that they need to do, including the skills that they need.

Our principal gives his message of gratitude to his teachers for being cooperative and
making the job well done. A heartfelt message was also given by the SLAC Leader for teachers’
willingness to do things especially in the demonstration process. They excellently show the
best that they can do to show their abilities in teaching. It only proved that nothing is
impossible if there is cooperation and harmonious relationship between colleague. The whole
day end with closing message.

NARRATIVE REPORT

The session was started with attendance, opening prayer and singing of the
National Anthem. All were present and all teachers were ready to undergo the activities
and showcase their expertise especially in teaching. Continuous learning is still
important in order for teachers could go with the trend that is needed for continuous
education.
Maam Christine Malauan is the first discussant. She discussed the “Cross word
and word match” that is very useful in making activity sheet. Crossword and word match
are usually use in periodical test and quizzes. Before, when we are making this part of a
test we take time to make it but this time it very easy now.Teachers submitted their
output after the session. It’s really enjoyable and a great help to lessen the burden in
making activity sheets. Next topic was discussed by Maam Maybelle Ann Borigas. She
focused on “Open Educational Resources and Google Drive”. She discussed on how to
manage and organized files and folders, how to upload files on the google drive and
other more features of google drive. The last discussant is Maam Leonessa Abuyo which
discussed about “Wonder share and the Hat”. Teachers really benefited in this session.
Many things that was discussed in this session helps a lot on making teachers works
easy and manageable at all times in comparison before, this is the benefit of modern
technology to us teachers.
When teachers undergo this learning, it makes teachers more applicable to the
needs of time. Our time is moving to modern period so, teachers should be also
upgrading their skills because it is needed and it is the nature of our work for the sake of
our learners. The session was conducted whole day with teacher’s participation and
cooperation to submit output in accordance with the objective of the session.

NARRATIVE REPORT

The session started with a prayer, national anthem and checking of attendance. All
participants were present. The session was conducted through virtual to access the internet for
the topic. Today, Maam Maybelle Ann Borigas, is the discussant. The topic to discussed is all
about “Google Drive”. This session discussed about Data Privacy Act, that was very needed in
online matters. It makes teachers aware of the things that was important when you are using
personal information of a certain person in a web. She also tackled about how to organized
personal documents into the folders in google drive. Google classroom is also discussed, she
mentions that it is a free web service developed by Google for schools that aims to simplify
creating, distributing, and grading assignments. The primarily purpose of GOOGLE Classroom is
to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students. Next, she discussed
also Google Meet; this is a video-communication service developed by Google. It is one of two
apps that constitute the replacement for Google Hangouts, the other being Google Chat.
Another is Google Calendar, it is time management and scheduling calendar service developed
by Google. It became available in beta release April13, 2006 and in general released in July
2008, on the web and as mobile apps for the Android and OIS platforms. Google Calendar
allows users to create and edit events. She also discussed about Google forms which let you
collect information from people via personalized quizzes or survey. You can then connect to the
info to a spreadsheet on sheet to automatically record the answers. The spreadsheet then
populates with the responses from the quiz or survey in real-time. This makes Google Forms
one of the easiest way to save data directly in the spreadsheet. Next topic is “TinyURL.com”,
this is the URL shortening web service, which provides short aliases for redirection of long URLs.
It is very useful because it lessens the time that we will chat longer URL which is sometimes a
hassle one.
The topic discussed this day gives more knowledge and skills to teachers that having
struggle in making reports and in accessing with the learners specially we are in the difficult
times of Pandemic. Now, we know it we can apply it in teaching process in the long run.
