I. INTRODUCTION
The program started at exactly 7:00 in the morning with the daily flag raising
ceremony. The opening program started at 7:30 A.M. with our master of ceremony Mrs. Elisa M.
Oliveros. The opening program was thrilled by the welcoming words from our dear school head,
Mrs. Merlita M. Lastimosa. This was followed by the small talk about this year’s featured writer,
Severino Reyes in the inspirational message given by our master teacher, Mrs. Cecilia L. Burgos.
We conducted activity, “Mystery Reader” for the Primary Level, our mystery

III. Highlight of the Proceeding
This week-long celebration is comprised of contests namely: spelling bee for the
primary level, poem recitation for grade 4 pupils, reader’s theater for grade 5 pupils, and reading
challenge for grade 6 pupils where they wrote book reports on the books that they have read in
Filipino and in English. The selected pupils from kindergarten to grade 6 also presented their
talents in rhyme and poem recitation, storytelling, reader’s theater and balagtasan.
The celebration has been fun and exciting and it was evident in every
participant’s performances. They we’re able to showcase their talents and develop reading skills
at the same time. Activities and programs like these help school-aged children develop the passion
for their love for reading and enhance their reading capabilities as well as their confidence to face
the crowd while showing their talents.
