joyful thanksgiving in celebration of a wonderful life of a girl who is
now turning into a fine, young lady. All of you who are here tonight
have watched her grow over the years into becoming the wonderful
person she is now. As a jumpstart, let us all welcome and
acknowledge the presence of the ever supportive and loving family
of our debutant:

T. Ibanez, the very beautiful mother, and Mr. Jericho Ibanez, the

Welcome Speech of the Debutant
HOST 1: Tonight is a celebration of adulthood and a thanksgiving of
the life God has given to our lovely celebrant. Let us put our hands
together, as we welcome the main highlight of this celebration, and
as she steps into a higher level of life, ladies and gentlemen, our
debutant, Danica Ibanez!

Grand Entrance of Debutant

HOST 2: Wow! I can say that, tonight, no one is ever more blooming
and lovelier than our debutant. Do you agree with me?

HOST 1: I couldn’t agree more, indeed! Saan pa nga ba siya

nagmana? Kay Mama ganda ba? Or kay Papa pogi? Or baka both?
Both nalang para mas masaya! Evidently, before tonight, Danica
has had happy years in a very happy home. The love of a family will
always be God’s greatest blessing. Now look at what she has
become, a loving, kind, and smart, fine young lady. Kudos to Mama
and Papa!

HOST 2: Right! I know that everyone is excited to witness tonight’s

programs and happenings. And I surely know that no one is ever
 more excited and happier than our stunning debutant. The sparkle
in her eyes tells us that her heart is overflowing with joy and
thanksgiving for all the support that we all showing her in this most
special day of her life. So now, we also look forward to what she
has to say to each and every one of us. Let’s all lend our ears to our
debutant, as she delivers her welcome message.

Cake Presentation

HOST 1: This celebration wouldn’t be complete without this

specialty in the menu. It looks stunning and enticing, just like our
debutant for tonight, isn’t it?

HOST 2: You’re right! Like a cake- sweet, soft, and elegant, these
words define what a young, fine lady is like. Sweet— being polite
and generous. Soft- being pleasant and gentle. Elegant- being
graceful, someone who carries herself with poise in a
sophisticated and fashionable way.

HOST 1: Without further ado, may I then request our lovely

debutant to come up front, to blow the candles and take the
pleasure of slicing this specially-made, birthday cake. And to
complete that customary practice, let us all sing joyfully a song I
am very sure everybody is familiar with, the happy birthday song!

HOST 2: Hmm.. it looks mouthwatering! I can’t wait to take a bite!

Anyway, are you guys still with us?

HOST 1: Wow! Such energy! Of course! Everyone is excited and

nothing could ever get boring in this party tonight, right?

having the 18 treasures! These treasures are meaningful gifts that
will be memorable for our debutant. These treasures serve as a
guide, a reminder on how our debutant should step up and wade
through adulthood. Special tokens that will bring joy and will make
our debutant feel how important she is. Let us then start with:

HOST 1: Ladies and gentlemen, let us make the night more exciting
by calling individuals who are extremely generous to give our
debutante, Danica, a treasure of monetary value. These individuals
are truly blessed that they will be sharing Danica these blessings.

for our dear Danica. At this moment, are we ready to move and

enjoyed the dance number! Really, nothing beats the effort given
by a loving fiend. Moving on, every one of us has come here
tonight, not only to celebrate with our debutant one of the most
significant days of her life, but also to send her best wishes as she
steps into a higher level of maturity and a new life journey. At
sabi nga ni mareng Willa Cather? “Where there is great love, there
are always wishes.” Because birthdays are always new
beginnings, new endeavors with new set of goals, sending
birthday messages and wishes is a tradition especially in our
country, where we give high value to family ties and relationship.

celebrant, and whom she listens and confides to for inspiring

dearest to Danica’s heart, representing the mother candle that will

permitted to do things that an adult can do. It gives you the
freedom and the ticket to try new adventures and learn new
things. The same way being 18 means you have now come to an
age where you are expected to perform duties and be responsible
to your actions and do decisions that will make you a better
person. So without further ado, let us continue the celebration of
this important night by having her first dance as she enters a new
world of coming to an age.

traditions in any Filipino debut celebration. This signifies the
daughter’s first step to womanhood and the father’s acceptance of
this period in his daughter’s life.

roses, any one knows that’s next? I can see that everyone has
anticipated and prepared for this part of the night because
everybody present is equally looking handsome and beautiful.

out of tonight’s celebration by taking a piece with us to look back
at this special moment of Danica’s life. Let’s make this night more

HOST: Tonight’s celebration tells me that the best demonstration

of gratitude in response to a wonderful experience like this one
