Birthday Celebration. Welcome to a night of _____________________ in
celebration of a wonderful life for a girl who is now turning into a fine lady.
HOST: We are gathered here tonight ___________________ at
_________________________ to witness the transformation of a young girl into a
beautiful lady.
HOST: Everyone is looking fabulous tonight those at the back and of course here
in front. I am very lucky for I am chosen to be part of this momentous occasion in
the debutante’s life.
HOST: I would like to introduce myself first, perhaps some of you may already
know me. I am Jaymar E. Hadap you can call me ‘Jaymar’, ‘Kuya Jaymar or ‘Host
Jaymar’, all the way from Somal – ot, Casiguran, Sorsogon, 20 years of age and
currently studying at Aemilianum College Incorporated, 2 nd Year College taking up
Bachelor of Arts in Communication.
HOST: I do freelance event host/emcee for more than 2 years and I am currently a
staff at AITV5 Aemilianum, a television station and DWAM – FM 94.3 MHZ a
campus radio of Aemilianum College Incorported. Again, this is Jaymar E. Hadap
and I will be your host for tonight, so let’s all get started!
HOST: Tonight is a celebration of adulthood and a thanksgiving of the life God has
given to our lovely celebrant. All of you who are here tonight have watched the
debutante grow over the years into a wonderful person she is now. You see her
grow up, you see her smile, you see her laugh, you see her everything and now
we are about to see her as a grown up lady. A lady of good heart, character and
ambition.
HOST: An 18th birthday marks almost the steps from youth to young adult, with all
its relative responsibilities. Join us as we celebrate this wonderful girl’s coming of
age. Let’s all celebrate as our girl becomes a full – bloomed lady tonight, as our
girl turns 18.

stepped onto the much higher level of what we called ‘life’. Ladies and

present in every occasion because it makes the event more meaningful and well –
remembered. People toss wine to give wishes of good luck for love, work, family,
and for future endeavours. So now, here are the 18 members of the wine who will

HOST: They say money makes the world goes around. Which I do agree. This time
here are the 18 people who will give something that she would need in the
future. We all know that this thing will be of great help for her studies. These
people will be the ones who will give her advices and kind words along the way on

HOST: The 18 candles signify the 18 women that will be her guiding light in her
journey towards fulfilling her dreams. These are the people close to the heart of

HOST: Like a flower that blooms and exudes its sweet scents to attract bees and
butterflies, the debutante will be swarmed later on by 18 equally handsome

HOST: The debut tradition consists of the 18 rose’s presentation, in which 18
males from family members and close friends will be performing a short (waltz
dance) with the debutante. One of those roses is from the father of the
debutante. Usually the first one to dance with, but some do it the last dance, so
they can perform the ‘father and daughter dance’. Ladies and gentlemen the

end of the day it’s your birthday that we are celebrating tonight. We want you to

HOST: Let us now proceed to the most important part of this celebration this
would we call it rituals of turning 18. Let us now proceed to the 18 Treasures. It
doesn’t matter how expensive, how elegant or how precious the gift is. What
matters most is the thought, the value, and the essence that the gift contains.
These gifts are significant to the debutante and that she will truly treasure these
for the rest of her life. To start, let us give a big round of applause to: (Mention

PRESENTATION OF 18 CANDLES (20 MINS)
HOST: After the offering of the gifts, next would be the presentation of the 18
Candles which has 18 females either from family members or closest to the
celebrant’s heart who will say their speech and wishes. They will light each of the
candle that represents all the virtues that they choose to resemble the character
of being a full grown woman to guide her in her journey in life. They will say each
of their own piece and greetings, and after all of them are lit, the debutante will
make her wish and blow all the candles.
HOST: Candle often reveal a sense of mystery and supernatural guidance. It
symbolizes security as it may illuminate circumstances. It may also signify 18
significant people in our celebrant’s life who serve as her guide as she grows up.
These are also the people who care for her and love her unconditionally. Let us

beauty, and love. The 18 Roses signify 18 very special gentlemen in the life of the
debutante like her friends, relatives, brothers and family members. It will be
followed by our debutante’s 18 gentlemen who will offer to her roses that
symbolizes love.
