Output is the process of getting information/processed data out of the computer

Output Devices
An output device is any hardware component that can convey information/processed data to the
user.

Examples of Output Devices

Monitor
Printer
Speaker
Headphones
Earphone
Plotter
Projector

Output devices come in two format/categories, hardcopy and softcopy

Hardcopy output is permanent output that can be reviewed away from the computer; while
softcopy output is temporary and is in electronic format.

Hardcopy Output Devices

This is any output device that produces output to the user that is permanent and can be reviewed
away from the computer.

Softcopy Output Devices

This is any output device that produces output to the user in electronic format and cannot allow
the user to review the information if not connected to the computer.
