Exercise 1: SafeBook (Poster Analysis)

Take a look at the poster below. Discuss how you responsibly use media and
information by answering the questions below.

1. What is the over-all message of the picture?

It is to inform us that in social media we have the freedom to post, share, and like,
however we must take the most responsible play as a user and that is being aware with
everything that we must do and we must don’t, the simple picture illustrates the real
meaning of social media, how we can connect with others possitively and somehow how
we are all enables as a user to choose and stop an action being portrait by social media.
Specifically, cyberbullying that emerge through social media which explains that
everybody has the capability to expelled and destroy someone’s life by saying or stating
something uneccesary and pointless just to show the unberable power they have.

2. What is one word in the poster that hits you the most? Why?
That is “click before you post” because in our modern world we are having right now, it
is easy to just click everywhere we want without specifically thinking the cost it could
give to someone, wheather it could give an inspiration thoughts , a new perspective and
hope in lfe , but mostly a uncouragement that could give to someone’s a question about
life and eventually having break downs from it. And this words, is a gentle reminder to
every users that we must take our actions seriously and responsibly when using social
media as a platform to share our life.

3. Based on the picture, how can you become a responsible social media user?
Base on the picture, a responsible user is kind to others, they thinking before clicking,
they connect with friends responsibly, they keep everything in private specifically their
passwords and settings, and they considered when clicking someone’s feelings.And a
responsible has the power to take action when everything is doesn’t go well and right,
they use their freedom to tell, block, unfriend, and report.
 Exercise 2: Below are some behaviors that a responsible and irresponsible media and
information user shows in the social media. Identify each behavior whether it belongs
to the smiley icon (responsible user of social media) or to the sad icon (irresponsible
user of social media). Go ahead! Put them where they belong!

V. Reflection

In not less than five (5) sentences, discuss how you can be a responsible media
and information user in this time of pandemic.

As a user of today’s modern technology and being in this generation is such an

opportunity and previlage to experience. However, it has a big responsibility on the
other hand in my shoulder that I must to take seriously which specifically explains as a
responsible user. In order to be effective as a user and be as an effective as responsible
user, I would say that thinking before clicking is one of the major action to take to
become a responsible user, and also by carefully being responsible towards with other
people’s feelings. And being knowlegeable on how to identify fake to real information to
believe in is a proof that the awareness that must everyone should include in their life
with social media or technology advancement is such a big information to classified that
as a user there is awareness and knowledeg involved in it when engaging.
