I. LEARNING ACTIVITIES:

Activity 1. What are the benefits of being financially literate? (10 pts)

1. Ability to make better financial decisions

People must have a broader

understanding of financial literacy, or be
financially literate, to make better financial
decisions. Being financially educated allows a
person to decide when to spend and save
money, as well as when and what to invest to
grow their money. Financial literacy empowers
people to make better financial decisions by
allowing them to understand and reflect on the
outcomes and implications of their decisions. The
ability to make responsible decisions reduces
foolishness, ignorance, recklessness,
impulsiveness, and, most importantly, crimes.

2. Effective management of money and debt

When we say that financial literacy

is an effective approach to manage
money and debt, we're talking about
saving money in banks, switching from
cash to credit and debit cards, and
managing money smartly with these tools.
It assists you in avoiding late payments and
prioritizing essential expenditures. Being
financially literate also prevents you from
overspending since you comprehend how
to stick to your budget and save for the
future. Nonetheless, you'll be able to keep
better track of your money and meet your future financial goals.

3. Greater equipped to reach financial goals

As I stated earlier, when a person

efficiently manages his money and debt, he
would find it much easier to achieve his
financial goals. To achieve these financial
objectives, a person must first consider how to
budget his money, from daily expenses to bills
and all the way down to his needs. When a
person keeps within his budget, he can get out
of debt and instead focus on making saving
goals. A financially savvy person should also set
aside emergency savings in case of a financial
emergency, if a person's perspective is to
spend less and save more, achieving financial
goals is simple.

4. Reduction of expenses through better

regulation

A good regulatory control system

systematically aids in the identification of the
optimum policy solutions. It relieves citizens
and companies of extra costs and
encourages openness in the formulation and
implementation of regulations while
safeguarding health, safety, and the
environment.

5. Less financial stress and anxiety

Financial literacy helps people stay

out of debt as much as possible because,
according to studies, getting into debt
makes a person more prone to financial
stress and anxiety since they will
eventually be unable to pay their debt
and, consequently, most creditors will
take legal action and, worse, will meet in
court to sentence the debtor. If they learn
how to budget, save, invest, and spend
their money properly, people who are
financially literate experience less stress
and anxiety. However, financial literacy is
often applicable to those who are
privileged, and those who are less
fortunate are more likely to face financial
stress and anxiety as a result of not
earning enough money to meet their
necessities and pay their bills. Financial literacy, on the other hand, enables
people to plan, control, and find ways to earn money to alleviate financial
stress and anxiety.

6. Increase in ethical decision-making
when selecting insurance, loans,
investments, and using a credit card.

In financial literacy, commitment

to the required standard is demanded.
Unethical action has evident
consequences, ranging from
reputational damage and integrity to
penalties and fines and criminal action.
Great managers must pay attention to
an intrinsic moral conscience that helps
them avoid illegal practices.

7. Effective creation of a structured budget

Being financially literate also has the

benefit of allowing you to effectively create a
structured budget. This means that to achieve
your financial goals, one effective way to do so
is to track your finances properly and regularly.
Having a plan on your budget also allows you
to have direction and focus solely on the things
you include in your budget. As an outcome,
you'll be able to reflect on what you need to
improve to achieve your financial goals, as well
as assess your previous costs and performance.

Activity 2. Choose 5 benefits of creativity and expound. (5 pts each =25 pts.)

1. Creativity allows you to express

yourself.

Indeed, creativity allows a

person to express himself because
when a person expresses himself
freely through his creative works, it
primarily represents his personality.
Creativity allows a person to think
beyond the box, as well as to move
outside his comfort zone and explore
new things that will help him grow as
a person and help him discover
himself and his purpose. When a person
expresses himself creatively, he will find his own direction, whether through
painting, dancing, or music composition. Hence, creativity not only allows
people to express themselves, but it also allows them to discover their
calling.

2. Creativity reduces stress and
anxiety.

People can be momentarily

preoccupied from all pressures and
difficulties by engaging in creative
activities such as coloring a book,
making a miniature house, or
creating a diamond painting.
According to several studies,
engaging in creative activities
promotes warm feelings and
reduces symptoms of mental illness
since people tend to focus on what they are doing to get an awesome
finished product and a sense of fulfillment. Since these activities are meant
to be relaxing and soothing, they are also recommended for those with
mental illnesses.

3. Creativity improves your

ability to focus.

Multitasking can't help

you produce a creative work.
Creativity isn't meant to
pressure individuals to
complete tasks on time;
rather, it encourages people
to concentrate and pay
attention to what they're
doing. That's why psychologists
believe that "when people get so focused on their task at hand that
everything else evaporates and all parts of performance, both mental and
physical, go through the roof." If a person isn't focused on his activity, he'll
be more stressed and unable to achieve a sense of contentment. Since
both involve attention and calmness to attain joy and fulfillment, creative
activities are most like meditation.

4. Creativity can link you to others

with the same passion.

People's social
connectedness is often maintained
through creativity. It encourages
happiness and great relationships,
as well as providing more
opportunity to meet new
acquaintances and open to others. When people who share a common
passion engaged in an activity they enjoy, they are more likely to produce
a positive outcome and strengthen their creativity and mental well-being,
because when people get together and do what they value, they forget
about their loneliness and problems in life for a while. Therefore, creativity
diminishes social anxiety and self-isolation.

5. Creativity gives you a sense of

purpose.

"Everyone has a purpose, and

nobody's purpose is better than
anyone else's," states the quotation.
This simply implies that when we are
better at dancing, it doesn't mean
that we are better than musicians. We
find our own calling, and they find
their own calling, which is why
creativity provides us our own feeling
of purpose, which also means
fulfillment, meaningfulness, and worthiness. When a person is great at
painting, his purpose isn't simply to depict individuals; it's also to convey
memories and bring joy to the people in the painting. When someone is
also skilled in singing or composing music, his purpose is to encourage
others in freely expressing their emotions and expressions, as well as to bring
people together and boost mental health. As it is a powerful and efficient
approach to recognize how wonderful life and the world are, creativity
offers us a feeling of purpose. Creativity doesn’t only entertain and brings
us joy, but it also brings us hope and value, and most importantly, it keeps
us away from negative thoughts and illness.
