2.1) Thea and Tea’s can either use a bank loan or grants as a source of
funding
 Bank loan: The business borrows money from the bank and the
money is paid back on an agreed period of time, the money is then
paid back with interest.
  Grants: A grant is funds that are received from either the
government or local financial organizations that support small
business. The business can apply for the grant and if they qualify
can start up their business.
2.2) Thea and Tea’s has an organizational culture where employees have
a stable workplace and are friendly and kind to customers. We provide
excellent products and services and warm customer service.

 3.2.1) The uniqueness of the business/product/service: Thea and
Tea’s offer an innovative and unique service/product different
 from our competitors and therefore will have competitive
advantage
 Sustainable workforce: Thea and Tea’s employees are well trained,
motivated and loyal to the business. They provide excellent
customer service.
3.2.2)
 Good management and organizational skills: This quality will be
very crucial to the success of the business because we will need to
retain control and make good final decisions about activities that
need to take place.
 Confidence and adaptability: This quality is important as we need
to believe in our ability to achieve the goals of the business, as well
as be able to adapt to the many changes of the market.
Question 4
4.1) Thea and Tea’s can contribute to the country by:
 Creating job opportunities.
 Offer training and education opportunities to employees to make
them more skilled workers.
 Being involved with charities and other NPO’s.
 Being an honest and responsible tax paying business.
4.2) Two projects in which they can get involved in are:
 BLIND SA is a non-profit organization that believes in promoting
and facilitating the dignity and independence of blind and visually
impaired South Africans. Thea and Tea’s can get involved with
this NGO.
 People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA) is a South African,
feminist, women's rights non-profit organization established in
1979. They provide free counselling, sheltering, skills development
opportunities, legal services, sector capacity
 building and strengthening as well as public awareness and
education to assist abused women.
