BACKGROUND

The formation of partnership businesses in Zimbabwe has increased over the


years. However it appears that these partnerships do not last for a long time.
One of the reasons cited for these break-ups has been disagreements amongst
partners concerning the distribution or sharing of profits and losses
OBJECTIVES

- Outline the importance and contents of a partnership agreement
- State reasons for the formation of partnerships

- Explain with examples what a partnership is and how it is formed. [5]


- List any 3 partnership business in your community. [3]
- Visit a local partnership business and research on the causes of
failure of partnerships .Find out at least any 4 reasons. [10]
- Use at least 2 resource persons from the partnership in carrying out
your research [2]
- Provide solutions or recommendations to curb the problems involved
in partnerships that results in their failure. [10]

1. Use research based activities using data collection techniques such as;

- interviews
- questionnaires
- ICT Tools
2. Provide evidence of data such as photos, documents which can be
attached in the assessment file.

3. Be original and creative/innovative when conducting your CALA.

4. Collaborate with other learners and make use of resource persons.

5. Utilise locally available resources.

- The CALA has 30 marks.


- The facilitator will assess;
1. your research questions
2. notes from interviews
3. research presentation
4. your write up and explanations

NB - Learners are to keep a diary to capture the timeline of each activity done
in executing the CALA . The diary is to be submitted together with the
assessment file.
