LIVELIHOOD AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP:

"BUILD - BUILD FARMERS' MINI -
MARKET PROGRAM"

II. Rationale

Many farmers in the community are deprived of opportunities

to have a place in the main market to sell their agricultural
products for earning sufficient income. Providing a mini-market
for them is an opportunity for an easier reach and transaction with
the buyers that can offer an instant exchanges. Also, as distance
from the city market is quite a problem to the community, it
significantly cost the community members in terms of
transportation.

In this project, the Build - Build Farmers' Mini - Market

Program aims to establish a farmers' mini - public market at Purok
7, Barangay Tambo, Island Garden City of Samal where it benefits
both the sellers whose harvested fresh goods are readily available
for sale and buyers whose transportation costs will be reduced. In
this way, the community members will practice to support each
other while helping the farmers to accumulate gains from their
harvested products.

III. Learning Objectives
