Please describe your initiative/project (maximum 200 words). This should be typed.

Our project “ It’s time to breathe safe ” involves the filtration of air which is dangerously polluted
by carbon and Green House Gas emission containing heavy, Nano and PM(2.5) particles which
are equivalent to bullets to our respiratory system. So we, having a determinant team then
decided to tackle this issue. Primarily we started surveying at Jhalokati Sadar Upazilla. Our
project targets safe emission from brick kilns, motor vehicles, safe burning of biomass at the end
of harvest season, safe and secure burning of stubble off the fields by reducing volatile organic
compounds and hydrocarbons. That’s why we introduced the Activated Carbon Air Purifier to the
owners of Brick kilns & Rice Mills in Jhalokati. We explained every pros and cons of Activated
Carbon Air Purifier and encouraged them to use it in their kilns .And the hope is, we got several
positive responses.16 brick kilns willed to use it till now. We hope to supply Activated Carbon
Filters to several Brick kilns as samples to encourage others to use it. According to several
researches, it is evident that Activated Carbon Air Purifier can filter the carbon contents in air up
to 95%. And We are planning to expand our program to rice mills, farmers and motor vehicles
factory. We have a rigid vision of a harmful carbon free Bangladesh where every motor vehicles,
brick kilns, rice mills, industries will use Activated Carbon Filters and we will no longer be anxious
to breathe. We also run several campaigns encouraging the use of electric vehicles instead of
motor affiliated. We arranged tree plantation programme twice in 2020.Thus we are combating
the climate change. We are still self-financed where the members of our team are the main
contributors. If we get the funding, we are hopeful to launch our project in a full- fledged approach
in March 2021.

Part 3: Seed Funding Proposal
2.2 Please describe how the seed funding will support the intended outcomes of your project,
including sustainability. (Maximum 300 words)

Basically our team has now 5 members only. Apart from this, our project is still self-financed. That’s why
we couldn’t scale up our project as much. But the optimum outcome of this project will not come until we
could enlarge our project. And to do that we need funding immediately. Seed funding will accelerate our
project in the following manners:

1. To cover a large area, we will need more man power and resources. Seed funding will help us to
do so.
2. To arrange campaigns, meetings on combating climate change in a sustainable way, this funding
will help us.
3. As Activated Carbon Air purifier is bit expensive, so in order to supply the samples of it to more
region, this funding will support us.
4. As we run tree plantation program , this fund will certainly mobilise this program to be arranged
in a large manner.
