1. Make a physical model of data communication cycle and demonstrate its functionality.
 In the data communication cycle, there are four key components:
 Sender: The sender is the person or device that generates the message and initiates
the communication.
 Receiver: The receiver is the person or device that receives the message and is the
intended recipient.
 Message: The message is the information that the sender wants to convey to the
receiver.
 Medium: The medium refers to the physical or virtual channel through which the
message is transmitted from the sender to the receiver.
2. Write a formula to calculate total score of a player in a particular cell using given data.
 Let's say the scores for categories A, B, C, and D are in cells A2, B2, C2, and D2 respectively.
The formula to calculate the total score would be:
 =SUM(A2, B2, C2, D2)
3. Draw a bar chart to show average score of each batsman
 Select the data that you want to use for the chart, including the names of the batsmen and
their average scores.
 Go to the "Insert" tab on the ribbon and click on the "Bar chart" button.
 Choose the type of bar chart you want to use, such as a clustered bar chart or a stacked bar
chart.
 Excel will generate the bar chart based on the data you selected, showing the average score
of each batsman as a bar.
4. Write a function to calculate maximum score in a match in a particular cell.
 Let's say the scores for players 1 to 5 are in cells A2, B2, C2, D2, and E2 respectively. The
formula to calculate the maximum score would be:
 =MAX(A2, B2, C2, D2, E2)
5. Write a function to calculate minimum score in a match in a particular cell.
 Let's say the scores for players 1 to 5 are in cells A2, B2, C2, D2, and E2 respectively. The
formula to calculate the minimum score would be:
 =MIN(A2, B2, C2, D2, E2)
6. Prepare the following worksheets and also draw charts. i) Height of 10 students in a class ii)
Home Budget iii) Electricity Bill
 Height of 10 students in class:
o Start a new Excel sheet.
o Write the headers "Name" and "Height" in the first row.
o Fill in the names and heights of the 10 students below the headers.
o Select the name and height columns.
o Go to the "Insert" tab and choose a bar chart.
o Customize the chart by adding a title, labels, and colors.
 Home Budget:
o Start a new Excel sheet.
o Write headers for each spending category, such as "Rent", "Food", "Utilities".
o Fill in the spending amounts under each header.
o Select the spending categories and amounts.
o Go to the "Insert" tab and choose a pie chart.
o Customize the chart by adding a title and colors.
 Electricity Bill:
o Start a new Excel sheet.
o Write headers "Month" and "Bill" in the first row.
o Fill in the months and electricity bill amounts below the headers.
o Select the month and bill columns.
o Go to the "Insert" tab and choose a line chart.
o Customize the chart by adding a title, labels, and colors.
Class 7 – Practicals Solution

1. Write all the steps to write a letter / application in MS Word with selecting font size 12, font
colour blue, at the end of the document mention your name, school name, class name, section
and save the documents.
 Open Microsoft Word.
 Go to the "Home" tab.
 Select the font size "12" from the font size dropdown.
 Click on the font color icon in the "Home" tab and select blue color.
 Start writing your letter or application.
 When you have completed your document, go to the end of the page.
 Type in your name, school name, class name, and section in a separate line.
 Go to the "File" menu and select "Save As".
 Choose a location to save your document.
 Give your document a meaningful name and select the file type as "Word Document".
 Click "Save" to save your document.

2. Write down the steps to prepare curriculum vitae (CV). Write academic detail in table form
personal interest by using different font styles and design and take a print.
 Open Microsoft Word.
 Go to the "File" menu and select "New".
 Enter your personal details such as name, address, contact number, and email address.
 Create a table to include your academic details such as education, degrees, and grades.
 Below the table, write a section on your professional experience, highlighting your relevant
skills and accomplishments.
 In another section, write about your personal interests and hobbies, using different font
styles and designs to make them stand out.
 Save the document.
 Go to the "File" menu and select "Print".
 Click "Print" to print your CV.

3. Write the steps to insert different types of shapes like triangle, square, rectangle, circle in MS
Power Point.
 Open Microsoft PowerPoint.
 Go to the "Insert" tab.
 Click on the "Shapes" button in the "Illustrations" group.
 Select the desired shape from the drop-down list.
 Click and drag on the slide to insert the shape of your choice.
 To change the shape, select the shape and go to the "Format" tab.
 Choose the desired shape from the "Change Shape" drop-down menu.
4. Search about “The Seven Wonders” on internet. Compose material in MS Word and send an E-
mail to your teacher about research work. Write all the steps.
 Open a web browser and search "The Seven Wonders".
 Read about it on different websites.
 Open MS Word.
 Start a new document.
 Write about what you learned about "The Seven Wonders".
 Save the document.
 Open your email.
 Write a new email to your teacher.
 In the subject line, write "Research on Seven Wonders".
 Write a short note about your research in the email.
 Attach the saved MS Word document.
 Send the email.
Class 6 – Practicals Solution

1. Identify and analyze (basic) hardware components of a computer system (e.g; processor,
memory and storage).
 A computer system is made up of several parts, including:
o Processor: The "brain" of the computer that runs instructions and performs
calculations.
o Memory (RAM): Temporary storage used by the processor for current tasks.
o Storage (HDD/SSD): Where data and programs are saved. HDDs use spinning disks
and SSDs use flash memory.
2. Develop and demonstrate image-processing skills (using various software tools e.g; paint, 3D
paint etc) while efficiently using computer hardware (e.g; mouse, keyboard,etc.).
 Choose image processing software, such as Paint or 3D Paint.
 Load an image into the software.
 Familiarize yourself with the tools and features.
 Start processing the image using tools like brush, eraser, color picker, etc.
 Use the mouse to select elements and the keyboard for precise adjustments.
 Save the processed image.
 Repeat with different images to improve your skills.
3. To create a file (Document file) and write the file name in MS Word Program.
 Open the MS Word program.
 Go to the "File" menu and select "New" to create a new document file.
 A blank document will appear. Start typing your content in the document.
 Click the "Save" button in the “File” menu to save the file with the name.
 File is now saved with the name and can be opened from the location where you saved it.
