INTRODUCTION
To better illustrate how design

impacted history, or how history

impacted design, we decided to

incorporate a specific time in history,

where design was really important,

and that is the Renaissance.

TheART
The Renaissance was a golden age for the arts, marked by

groundbreaking achievements in painting, sculpture,

architecture, and literature. Artists such as Leonardo da Vinci,

Michelangelo, and Raphael produced masterpieces that

reflected the ideals of classical beauty.

The
PAITINGS
Design during the Renaissance had changed, it
had now become of high variety. Painters
revolutionized the use of perspective, creating
the illusion of depth. Artists had been
portraying more landscapes, whereas now the
focus was on capturing individuality.
The
SCULPTURES
In terms of design in sculptures, renaissance
sculptors aimed for greater realism in their
work, becoming more accurate and precise.
They studied ancient Greek and Roman
sculptures to inform their own work. They
adopted classical techniques and idealized
proportions to mimic classical art.
