Reflecting on My Physical Education Experience

In my recent Physical Education class, we engaged in various exercises aimed at

assessing different aspects of our physical fitness. The activities ranged from warming
up exercises to tests like the shuttle run, 3-minute step test, and the sit and reach. This
reflection explores my experiences during these activities and the insights gained.

The warm-up session was crucial in preparing our bodies for the subsequent physical
activities. It was interesting to observe how our pulse rates changed during the warm-
up. My initial pulse of 77 beats per minute (bpm) set the baseline for comparison.
Participating in the shuttle run provided a practical assessment of my speed.
Completing the run in 19.63 seconds indicated a certain level of agility and quickness.
This activity allowed me to understand the correlation between speed and
cardiovascular fitness.
The 3-minute step test was both challenging and revealing. Monitoring my pulse before
and after the activity highlighted the immediate impact on cardiovascular endurance.
Witnessing an increase from 77 bpm to 98 bpm underscored the cardiovascular
demands of sustained physical effort.
The sit and reach activity focused on flexibility. Achieving a reach of 83 cm reflected a
satisfactory level of flexibility. It emphasized the importance of stretching and flexibility
exercises in maintaining overall physical health.

In retrospect, this Physical Education session provided valuable insights into my current
physical fitness levels. The combination of speed, cardiovascular endurance, and
flexibility assessments offered a holistic view of my overall fitness. While the activities
were enjoyable, the notable increase in pulse rates after strenuous exercises served as
a reminder of the importance of consistent physical activity.

As we conclude these activities for the year, I look forward to continuing our fitness
journey in the upcoming year. The experiences gained not only contribute to my
understanding of personal fitness but also motivate me to prioritize physical well-being
in the future.
