 WHAT IS MIND WARS?
A brainchild of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., Mind Wars is India’s largest
knowledge acceleration programme which aims to Make India Smarter!
The Mind Wars app has over 3 lakh pieces of content in 12 languages,
including current affairs uploaded daily, trivia-based quizzes on GK and the
curriculum of 21 boards across India! Currently, 30 lakh students from over
46,000 schools across India are a part of the Mind Wars platform.

Over the past years, Mind Wars has conducted a host of interesting and fun
co-curricular activities for students. Here is a timeline of events conducted by
Mind Wars so far:

2020
Mind Wars TV Show: Hosted by noted Bollywood actor, Shreyas Talpade, the
Mind Wars TV Show telecasted on Zee TV in 2020 and saw participation from
over 1,500 schools.

Mind Wars YouTube Show: A continuation of the TV Show, the Mind Wars
YouTube show was hosted by renowned actor, singer, and host Meiyang
Chang.

Mind Wars Olympiad: India’s first national-level online + offline GK olympiad,

Mind Wars Olympiad saw participation from over 2,000 schools across India.

Mind Wars State Battle Championship: A unique online quiz competition,

held on Facebook, the State Battle Championship saw excellent participation
from students across the country with a total reach of 3.9 crore+ students
and an impressive engagement of 39 lakh+ students.

2021
Debate Championship: Specially organised for the schools of Mumbai, this
inter-school debate championship was held in partnership with India Schools
Debating Society (ISDS), one of India’s premier debating organisations for
school students, and provided the finalists with an opportunity to represent
India in the World School Debating Championship. Over 150 schools in
Mumbai took part in this competition.
2022
Spell Bee 2022: Organised especially for the students of Delhi-NCR,
the Mind Wars Spell Bee 2022, was a one-of-its-kind competition, that saw
participation from over 6000 students from across 150+ schools.
The competition culminated in a three-episode YouTube series which was
hosted by noted broadcaster and commentator Mr. Charu Sharma and telecast
on the Mind Wars channel.

2023
National Academic Championship: Mind Wars National Academic
Championship (NAC) was organised in association with the International
Academic Competitions (IAC). One winner from each category got a chance
to represent India at The IAC Asian Championship in Thailand on an all-expense
paid trip to Khao Lak, Thailand with their parents. Advay Misra, a student of
Class VII from Delhi & Ihit Bharadwaj, a student of Class X from Vashi, Navi
Mumbai, were the chosen ones to represent India.

Spell Bee 2023: Mind Wars Spell Bee 2023 was a national-level spelling
competition open to all schools across India, and saw participation from
over 64,000 students. 20 city rounds and 8 cluster finals were conducted,
out of which, Mind Wars received its finalists at the national level.
The national finale was hosted by noted broadcaster and commentator
Mr. Charu Sharma and culminated in a three-episode YouTube series.
 MIND WARS APP

Mind Wars is a knowledge app. Knowledge can be attained in many ways. In the
new millennium, one of the most efficient paths is through the simple and
joyful means of play. Acquisition of knowledge in a stress-free and fun manner
is a great way to assimilate and own it. Mind Wars invites you to rise to greater
and better levels of knowledge – be it curriculum, GK, or current affairs – by
entering into alternative realms and moving up, up, up, until you reach the top.
Each journey is special, calibrated to engage every player, regardless of their
initial proficiency.

The Mind Wars app was launched on the Google PlayStore and Apple AppStore
in 2022 and currently has over one lakh monthly active users.

Curriculum:
Students of IV-X across India can practice their syllabus
in this section, irrespective of their boards.

Quest:
Registered students can practice over 20,000 questions
on the platform and get updated knowledge daily!

Multiplayer:
Students can challenge their friends and find out who is
the smartest by creating their own quiz and sharing it
with their friends!

Daily Games:
Students can choose from a host of different games
available to play daily and get a chance to win
exciting prizes!

Current Affairs:
Not only can students get updated on the happenings
around the world on a daily basis, but they can also play
interesting quizzes based on the current affairs of the
previous weeks. Current affairs are uploaded in 12
languages on the Mind Wars app daily.

In 2024, Mind Wars is again bringing a basket full of co-curricular activities for
all students across India. These competitions, which will be spread throughout
the year, have in store amazing prizes for all the participants.

In 2023, the Mind Wars National Academic Championship was a huge success.
The winners of NAC went on to participate at the Asian Academic Championship
at JW Marriott, Khao Lak, Thailand, and won many laurels for their nation.

Advay Misra, a student of class VII, from Delhi, was

the NAC Champion for the Middle Category. At the
Asian Academic Championship, he won:

1st position in the Academic Bee

1st position in the Science Bee
1st position in the History Bee
1st position in the Geography Bee

Ihit Bhardwaj, a student of class X from Vashi, Navi

Mumbai was the NAC Champion for the Senior
Category. At the Asian Academic Championship, he
won:
3rd position in the Acadmic Bee
2nd position in the Science Bee
3rd position in the Geography Bee

This year, Mind Wars brings another chance for the students of Indian schools
to showcase their knowledge at the international level.

NATIONAL ACADEMIC
CHAMPIONSHIP 2024
The Mind Wars National Academic Championship (NAC) provides a platform where
students can participate in an academic competition at the international level.
Organised in association with the International Academic Competitions (IAC), the
winners of the Mind Wars NAC become India's representatives in a global contest
at the Asian Academic Championship (AAC), which is held at JW Mariott,
Khao Lak, Thailand.

Moreover, each winner and an accompanying parent will win a fully funded trip to
represent India at the Asian Academic Championship in June 2024. Cash prizes of
over ₹ 3 lakhs, trophies, and certificates will also be awarded to winners and their
respective schools.

The Mind Wars NAC 2024 will have three categories.

The Mind Wars National Academic Championship comprises four topic areas, on
which the participants will be tested. These are as follows:

History
The International Academic Championships (IAC) and Mind Wars
National Academic Championship both recognise the importance of
history in society. This section:

Consists of questions that test participants' knowledge of historical

events, figures, and facts.

Has questions that are designed to generate interest in history among

young people, encourage them to appreciate the world's diversity and
develop a deeper understanding of different cultures and traditions.

Helps participants acknowledge the significance of the past in shaping

the world’s present, promoting academic excellence, encouraging
cultural exchange, and fostering cultural diversity.

Geography
Geography is a crucial aspect of daily life, and the study of the Earth, its
physical features, and its inhabitants is vital to navigate the world and
engage with fellow inhabitants. The Geography Section:

Tests participants' knowledge of world geography, physical geography,

and cultural geography.

Tease out participants’ understanding of the world's countries, capitals,

and physical features.

Aims to promote interest in geography among young people,

encouraging them to learn more about the world and appreciate its
beauty and complexity.

Promotes cultural understanding by studying topography, habitats,

climate, and the living environment.

Science
Science plays a crucial role in shaping our understanding of
phenomena, making sense of the world around us, developing an
analytical and research-oriented temperament, and pushing the
boundaries of human imagination by constantly discovering, inventing,
and innovating. The Science Section:

Includes questions from various scientific disciplines, such as biology,

chemistry, physics, geological sciences, astronomy, and mathematics.

Is designed to encourage students to explore and deepen their

understanding of the natural world and the scientific principles that
govern it.

Challenges students to think critically, solve problems, and apply

scientific concepts to real-world scenarios.

Encourages students to pursue further studies and careers in the sciences,

promoting scientific literacy, and academic excellence.

Miscellaneous
The miscellaneous section of the competition deals with knowledge about
various interesting aspects of our dynamic world. The Miscellaneous Section:

Includes questions on topics other than history, geography, and

science, such as literature, economics, political science, and general
knowledge.

Is designed to broaden the horizon of students, taking them beyond the

scope of the subjects regularly encountered in their curriculum.

Encourages students to gain awareness and additional knowledge

about things happening around them.

The Mind Wars NAC will be organised in four stages:

Stage I: Prepare and Practise

This stage will contain a host of mock and practise tests for the
participants to get an entry point into the test. At this stage, the
students can test their knowledge and know which are strong and weak
areas to prepare further.

Stage II: Online Qualifier Test (OQT)

The Online Qualifier Test will be a test comprising of 50 questions that

will test the knowledge of students on the required four topic areas. The
time duration of this test will be 30 minutes. This test will be tentatively
held in April 2024 and will be conducted on the Mind Wars app.

Stage III: Inter-school Test

Top 10% or top 100 students (whichever is higher) from the OnlineQualifi-
er Test will sit for the Inter-school Test, which will be tentatively held
offline in May 2024. The duration of this test will be 60 minutes. One
topper from each category of this test will be selected to represent India
at the Asian Academic Championship.

Stage IV: Asian Academic Championship

The best student in each of the categories of the inter-school test will
go to Thailand to participate in the Asian Academic Championship. This
will be conducted in June 2024.
