Greetings from Science India Forum–UAE!

Shastra Pratibha Contest, popularly acronym as SPC, is the flagship program conducted annually by
SIF. SPC is an overseas version of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM), India's largest science talent
search contest organized by Vijnana Bharati.

The Central Board of Secondary Education recommends all schools to encourage maximum participation
in this contest. SPC is supported by the Embassy of India, U.A.E. & Consulate General, Dubai, U.A.E.

SIF is glad to announce that registration to SPC-2022 edition has commenced & will remain open
until Sunday, 13th November 2022.

A glaring change for this year is that participation to the first level of SPC-2022 is open to all students.
Those students who qualify to the 2nd level must pay the contest fee of 25/- AED to continue participating
in the contest. Through this much needed student friendly measure, SIF anticipates 100% participation
from schools across UAE.

Essential steps to register for SPC-2022:-

Step 1 - To register click the web link - https://www.sifuae.com/spc/
Step 2 - Select the “Registration” button and create an individual profile by filling all the fields carefully.
Upon successful completion of registration, an automated confirmation email will be sent to the registered
email ID of the student carrying log-in credentials to access the SPC-2022 web app.

All the necessary updates & notices regarding the contest will be made available on the individual
dashboard of SPC-2022 web app accessible through the above link using log-in credentials.

We have attached herewith the manual of SPC-2022 covering all relevant information of the contest for
internal circulation within your school.

SPC-2022 is a three levels contest to select sixteen Shastra Pratibhas, two each from grade V to XII, of which the first two levels of contest are
home based online MCQ examination & the third level will be viva-voce for those students who have qualified in the first two levels.

SPC-2022 is a three stages contest as elaborated below :-

R Elementary is the 1st stage home based MCQ type online examination to qualify to Intermediate Level.

w Intermediate is the 2nd stage home based MCQ type online examination to qualify to Advance Level.

a Advance is the last stage of contest to select sixteen Shastra Pratibhas through a viva-voce.

d Sixteen Shastra Pratibhas are eligible for a study tour to India's reputed scientific / academic institutions at the expense of SIF.

s Shastra Pratibhas are also awarded a medal, memonto & certifcate. Students appearing at Advance level of contest are entitled for a memonto
& merit cettifcate. All other participating students will be presented an e-certificate depending on their level performances at the respective level.

Students participating in SPC-2022 are categorised as follows : -

& 1. Sub-junior - Students studying from V to VII grade are eligible for this category.

r One time non-refundable fee of 25/- AED, must be paid prior to 2nd level of SPC-2022 to continue participation in the contest.

E Eligiblity : - Students of grade V to XII studying in UAE having a valid Emirates Identity (EID) number following any of the State / CBSE / ICSE

Registration guidelines for SPC-2022

** It is recommended that the student fills registration form under the supervision of the parents using laptop/desktop.
** Kindly read following instructions before starting the registration.
** Ensure name is correctly spelled as it is going to appear in the participation certificate.
** Date pattern can be DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY or any other pattern depending on the system.
** Ensure date of birth & EID is filled up correctly as they are non-edited fields. EID is a default “username”.
** Password should be alpha-numeric 6-8 characters with no special characters.
** Save the user id and password for future actions & reference.
** The emirate is where your school is located and not where you reside.
** Choose the correct school name from the drop down list after choosing your emirate.
** If your school name is missing in school drop list then contact SIF representative.
** Category of student will be automatically decided by the App depending on the grade.
** Division/Section is two character long. You can enter single character or two characters.
** Do correctly spell name of the parents/guardian & ensure entered mobile nos and email ids are operative.
** OTP will be sent to both the email ids of parent & child (if entered). Enter the correct OTP for submission.
** Do read & accept SIF terms & conditions & privacy policy before submitting the registration form.
** Registration is completed when an email is received mentioning username & password for the SPC webapp.
** Edit profile is not allowed once registraion confirmation email is received.
** Participation to 1st level of contest is free. One time non-refundable fee of 25/- AED will be appplicable to appear at the 2nd level of contest.
** Mock test will be conducted before the the Elementary level to familarise with examination interface.
