SCREENING CUM SCHOLARSHIP TEST -INSTRUCTIONS

SCREENING TEST
1. This screening test is intended to select candidates to IIT / AIIMS 2024 coaching programme.
2. This test is intended to fill those very limited number of vacancies.
3. We do not guarantee a specific number of vacancies in any centre.
4. Limited number of seats are likely to arise in a few centres owing to the back out of candidates.
5. Since the test is in online mode without the direct invigilation of Brilliant’s faculty, it will only be a
selection test.
6. IIT /AIIMS 2024 programme - Different categories.
I) REGULAR BATCHES
Theory classes and Entrance classes are simultaneously handled by the experts in the topics
concerned.
Class timing: Monday to Saturday
We have three streams of INTEGRATED TWO YEAR regular Batches
1) ISC SYLLABUS
Designed for those who opt ISC syllabus in their +2 programme
Programmes : AIIMS Batch, IIT Batch
Venue : Centres at Kottayam & Trivandrum
2) STATE SYLLABUS
Designed for those who opt Kerala State syllabus in their +2 programme
Programmes - AIIMS Batch, IIT Batch
Venue : Centres at Kottayam, Pala, Changanassery and Thrissur
3) CBSE SYLLABUS
Designed for those who opt CBSE syllabus in their +2 programme
Programmes : AIIMS Batch, IIT Batch
Venue : Centres at Changanassery, Ettumanoor, Ernakulam, Kanjirappally, Kattachira,
Kollam, Koothattukulam, Kozhikode, Pala, Pallikkathode, Perumbavoor, Thamarassery,
Thodupuzha, Trissur, and Trivandrum
7. IIT - AIIMS 2024 regular batches - Vacancies are available only in the following centres respectively
AIIMS CBSE Syllabus- Perumbavoor, Pallickathode & Thodupuzha.
AIIMS ISc Syllabus - Trivandrum
IIT CBSE Syllabus - Changanassery, Kattachira, Koothattukulam, Pallickathode
IIT ISc Syllabus - Trivandrum
II) HYBRID BATCHES
There are two mode of hybrid batches. Designed for those who opt STATE, CBSE & ISC
Syllabus in their +2 programme
Programmes : AIIMS Batch, IIT Batch
1) Classroom Batches: This is a combination of online and class room coaching. The classroom
coaching will be conducted in our centers at Changanassery, Ernakulam, Kozhikde, Pala,
Thrissur & Trivandrum
2) Online Batches: Online only
Those students who are not able to join our class room coaching and studying in schools
anywhere in the globe can join the online course. The entire coaching is through online
only.

1. Mode of examination - Online only

2. Online proctoring system for live monitoring of students during the test.
3. System requirements - Desktop / Laptop/Tab with Camera or webcam
(Smart phone / Mobile Phone is NOT recomended for the test)
4. Browser requirements - MozillaFirefox 91 (www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/download)
5. Stable internet connection - Stable internet connection with minimum 1mbps speed
should be ensured before the commencement of online exam
6. Students may attend the exam from home or any other convenient place
7. Blank paper, clipboard, log tables, slide rules, can be used for rough work.
8. You must not use headphones, ear buds, or any other type of listening equipment.
9. During the exam , you must not communicate with any other person by any means.
10. Calculators, Mobile phones, and any other electronic gadgets in any form are NOT allowed.
11. Your steady presence infront of the system through out the test time, is necessary.
12. Presence of any other person near the system is not allowed.
13. Once exam is in progress students should not depend on text books, calculators or any other agencis.
Malpractice in the exam will be dealt with seriously

14. Video, sound and screen recording - Your video, sound and screen of your system will be recorded
through out the exam.
Termination of exam - If any suspecious behaviour or malpractice from a student is observed, the
exam will be terminated for the person concerned.

8. In order to familiarize the students with computer based online test, trial practice exams

will be available from 18-05-2022, 10.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.

9. ONLINE EXAM - PROCEDURE

i. Open the www.brilliantpalaexams.com using Mozilla Firefox/Chrome Browser

ii. Login with Student ID and Password (Password - Roll number as in the Hall ticket)

iii. Click exam title IIT - AIIMS 2024 Screening Test (from Available Test menu)

1)Available test: At the scheduled time of exam you can find the exam title at ‘Available test’ then

using ‘starts exam’ you can start the exam

2) Upcoming test: If you login before scheduled time you can find the exam title, in ‘upcoming test’

You cannot further proceed before scheduled time.

3) History: If accidently the exam stops or interrupted, you may relogin and you can find the exam title

in ‘History’ and click ‘resume’ and continue to write the exam.

iv. Click on ‘Start exam’

v. Read the instructions and ‘click I am ready to begin’

vi. Allow permission to allow Webcam, Audio and Screen sharing

vii. click “continue exam”

viii. After completion of the test click on “submit” button

ix. click on “End Exam” button to Finish Exam.

 General Instructions for attending Screening Test

Step1 : Log on website www.brilliantpalaexams.com

(use Mozilla Firefox / Chrome Browser)

Step 2: Proceed to login Screening Test

Student ID
Your Roll Number as in the Hall ticket

Step 3: Click on “Start exam” / exam title “IIT - AIIMS 2024 Screening Test”
from “Available test” menu

1)Available test: At the scheduled time of exam you can find the exam title at ‘Available test’ then using

10. Test Duration : 2 hrs (120 minutes)
11. Medium of Question Paper : English
12. The clock will be set at the server. The countdown timer in the top right corner of screen
will display the remaining time available for you to complete the examination.
13. Question paper consists of three subjects. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Each subject
will consist 2 sections.
Section A consists of 15 questions and section B have 8 questions, out of these 8 questions
candidate can choose to attempt any 5 questions. The total number of questions and
utilization time will remain same.
Part I (15 Questions in each subject). Each question has four options (A),(B), (C) & (D).
Only one of these four option is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded four marks.
One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
Part II (5 Questions in each subject) . Answer to each question is a number ranging from 0
to 999 both inclusive. Four marks will be given for each correct answer. No negative
mark for incorrect answers.

14. Maximum Mark - 240.

15. More than one answer marked against a question will be deemed as incorrect answer.
16. No negative mark for unattended questions.
17. To answer a question, do the following:
Click on the question number in the Question Palette to go to that numbered question directly.
Click on ‘Save &Next’ to save your answer for the current question and then go to the
next question.
Click on Mark for ‘Review & Next’ to save your answer for the current question, mark it
for review, and then go to the next question.
Caution: Note that your answer for the current question will not be saved, if you
navigate to another question directly by clicking on its question number.

18. Procedure for answering a multiple choice type question:

To select your answer, click on the button of one of the options

To deselect your chosen answer, click on the button of the chosen option again or click on
the ‘Clear Response’ button

To change your chosen answer, click on the button of another option

To save your answer, you MUST click on the ‘Save & Next’ buttonTo save your answer,
you MUST click on the Save & Next’ button

To mark the question for review, click on the ‘Mark for Review’ & Next button.

The ‘Mark for Review’ status for a question simply indicates that you would like to look at
that question again. If a question is answered and Marked for Review, your answer for that
question will be considered in the evaluation.

19. Procedure for answering a numerical section choice type question:

Answer to each question is a numerical value ranging from 0-999 both inclusive. For each
question enter the correct numerical value. Section B have 8 questions, out of these 8
questions candidate can choose to attempt any 5 questions. Enter the answer using mouse
and the onscreen virtual numerical keypad. In case you have already saved the required
number of questions (5) in this section and you wish to attempt another question, please
delete the answer and press save on one of the already saved questions and then proceed to
the next question.

20. To change your answer to a question that has already been answered, first select that question
for answering and then follow the procedure for answering that type of question.
21. An online orientation programme explaining screeningtest details and admission procedure
will be held on 18-05-2022, Wednesday 7.00 p.m. through CiscoWebeX platform Meeting
ID and Password will be intimated through sms and email.

22. Result : The rank list of the screening test will be published on 19-05-2022, 5.00 p.m. in the website
(www.brilliantpala.org).
