Advantages:-

-All of that is removed with virtual meetings, cost of travel, Venues and times,
and meeting physically in a mutual location. Hence, Virtual meetings are more cost-
effective.
-Through virtual meetings, attendees can come from anywhere, so worldwide education
is possible in any corner of the world. Hence, broader information sharing is
possible through it.
-It is straightforward and time-saving to join virtual meetings as there is no need
to travel anywhere, and we can attend the meeting immediately.
-With the help of a virtual platform, we can also record the meetings, which helps
to enhance the education and also increase the productivity of gaining knowledge
and improve our work.

Disadvantages:-

-Disadvantages of virtual meetings include that if the attendee is not technically

conscious, it becomes difficult for them to join the virtual meetings.
-If any technical issue occurs, especially in audio or video, the virtual meetings
become a big flop as the meeting does not happen smoothly.
-As in the virtual meetings, anyone can join the meeting, so the participants might
not know each other and. hence also creates a communication gap between them which
leads to less interaction.
-For example, I also experienced the same during the covid pandemic. I was not able
to communicate with my college groups.

Steps to Overcome the challenges:

-To overcome some of the technical issues, we can have a backup plan for the same,
like we can have the extra microphone for the audio purpose.
-The technical-conscious attendees should be given proper training for the same, so
they can quickly join the meeting and be a part of it.
-Before joining the meeting, ensure a proper internet connection to avoid
connection issues during the meeting.
-To avoid the communication gap and improve the interaction, we can conduct the
meeting either region-wise so that the meeting can have less number of attendees at
a time and the people of the same region can interact easily with each other.
