(COUNSELLOR AS GAVIN STRYKER, MACBETH AS CLAYTON DEHAAN, AND LADY MACBETH AS DANIEL SUAREZ)
Counsellor: Welcome Lady Macbeth and Macbeth, My name is George C Buckles. Here I will
fix your marriage. Everything is confidential and no one will ever know. Speak quieter: Just let
me pull up my recording app here. Let’s start right away. I'll be asking you a series of questions
and will be expecting an honest answer from you. Many people have come to me and said that
they have never received such terrible, I mean, great advice. The first question… What made
Macbeth: Her looks, now I completely understand the saying, don’t judge a book by its cover.
Lady Macbeth: Aren't you supposed to be helping us? Not siding with one of us Mr. Buckles.
Counsellor: O, right nervous chuckle. So, Lady Macbeth, what made you fall in love anyway?
I read somewhere that getting into a relationship is tempting and so was getting into the Titanic,
Lady Macbeth: Well Mr. Buckles, his looks are nothing compared to his priorities, he was tall
and handsome and I thought that I sensed potential in this man but, Nop!
Lady Macbeth: I mean potential, how many other definitions are there? I thought he would be a
Counsellor: Macbeth, do you consider yourself a “Real Man”, as your wife put it?
Macbeth: To me, a man is someone humble, they put others before themselves. I consider
opinion.
Macbeth: She has called me a coward because I was not able to shed blood without regrets.
She said that killing another human could be compared to baking bread. You go through steps
Lady Macbeth: See Macbeth, even this man agrees with me.
Counsellor: What I meant to say was, I completely disagree with her. A new topic before I say
too much. Are you going to be able to live with Macbeth for the rest of your life Lady Macbeth?
Lady Macbeth: Now I will be able to because King Duncan is dead and I will be able to be
queen.
Counsellor: Macbeth?
Macbeth: She loves me for all the wrong reasons. She is a violent lady who takes pleasure in
doing wrong things. I am a man of integrity and if she doesn’t change, the marriage will come to
an end.
Counsellor: Right, okay. The information that I gathered is that you, Macbeth are in a tough
spot, you, first of all, got married and are now stuck with this woman. Lady Macbeth, you were
deceived by this man's outward appearance, you were looking for someone who was more
Councillor: That’s why you stay single like me! The main reason for divorce is marriage.
Macbeth: You are not helping us, we need good advice for our lives to go back to normal.
Councillor: Right, moving on. Are there any questions as we round this up?
Councillor: Good enough. So you were both put to the test when King Duncan was killed, the
other was able to see character traits that usually are never shown, and that caused your
trouble. So the moral of this lesson. Do tempt others to do immoral things, Lady Macbeth.
Macbeth, you would have had a much better life if you married someone else.
Councillor: You were not the right person for Macbeth or anyone for that matter because you
have your priorities a little whacked. Pause. When is the next time that we shall meet with each
other?
Lady Macbeth: Well… Mother was right… Love ‘em, Leave ‘em, and take half of everything!
Like I said, If you want something said, ask a man… if you want something done ask women!
Macbeth: Go do the dishes then! Whatever… (Sigh)...In a week from now? Does that work for
Lady Macbeth: Yes, only because you will be king and I shall be Queen.
THE END
