Contractors Safety Policy Statement:

The goal of pioneer cements industries and thereby the goal of all Contractors, sub-contractors and
visitors to the factory, is to manage risks to prevent fatalities and other occupational health, safety
and environmental incidents and to commit to a safe and healthy work environment.

All Contractors & sub-contractors are responsible to work safely and immediately report any unsafe
conditions or observed at-risk behaviors. All Contractors, suppliers, vendors, and visitors will comply
with security procedure amongst other occupational health and safety procedures and the Health
Safety Policies which may be obtained upon request or received during the procurement process.
Noncompliance with health, safety and environmental requirements may result in work stoppage or
removal of Contractor or its employee(s) from pioneer cements premises.

Any willful or repeated non-compliance could result in Contractor discipline by the management as
per the 3strike policy. Regulatory compliance is the responsibility of each Contractor. This manual is
not to be construed as superseding national or local regulations.

Contractor safety is a core value in our business, we aim to achieve our business objectives and target
by committing to the following:

 Complying with all statutory safety requirements, codes, standards and guidelines.
 Evaluation safety risks and taking appropriate actions to minimize potential risk.
 Defining clear roles and responsibilities for contractor’s safety and management. Safety is
everyone’s responsibility.

Pioneer Cements Industries Contractors Safety Strategies:

 A commitment to ensuring all contractors meets all the legal criteria mentioned in the
contractor managements form before procurement.
 A commitment to provide a safe working environment through hazard assessment, inspection
and risk assessment with mitigation plan.
 Provide training, tool box talks and on-going education to ensure contractors can undertake
their duties in a safe manner.
 Provide communication on all safety precautions through inductions, tbt, safety meetings.
 Provide and communicate a clear responsibilities of contractors as mentioned in the
contractor management form.

Review:
 This policy and procedures will be reviewed yearly or after an accident/incident or top management
change.
