PROJECT RATIONALE:
• Comfort Rooms: Upgrading comfort rooms ensures the well-being and comfort
of our students, fostering a positive attitude towards school attendance and
hygiene.
• School Canteen and Clinic: A functional school canteen and well-equipped clinic
are essential for addressing the nutritional needs of students and providing
immediate medical attention when necessary. These facilities contribute to the
overall health and well-being of our school community.
• School Fence: A secure school fence enhances the safety and security of our
students, keeping unauthorized individuals out of the premises and ensuring that
students can focus on their studies without worries.
• Doors and Windows: Properly functioning doors and windows not only contribute
to the security of the school but also provide adequate ventilation and natural
lighting, creating a comfortable and safe environment.
5. Infrastructure Sustainability:
• Roofs, Ceilings, Walls, and Water Facilities: Addressing issues such as leaking
roofs, damaged ceilings, and crumbling walls is essential to preserve the structural
integrity of our school buildings. Ensuring proper water facilities and drainage
systems prevents damage and improves sanitation.
• Signage and Lighting: Clear and effective signage guides students and visitors
within the school premises, while adequate lighting ensures safety and
accessibility, especially during evening events.
8. Resource Optimization:
• Maintaining a conducive learning environment for students during the renovation process
of each facility which could trigger a class interruption.
• Due to the lack of an established maintenance culture, the amount of the damage may
necessitate a complete replacement of the physical facilities and/or costly repairs.
• As each classroom undergoes reconstruction, classes for each grade level will be
relocated to alternative classroom locations. But since the only available class schedule
is the morning session, the entire population of students cannot be accommodated across
all buildings in the school.
• Poor maintenance scheduling may result in materials, tools, and equipment being
scattered around the facilities being enhanced, which can be an eyesore for everyone and
worse, could endanger students while they are at school.
• During the renovation, the availability of other facilities that are not included in the
renovation project may not be enough to cater every student.
• The renovation activities which can cause loud noises and foul smell may affect students’
senses, as well as their attention during class hours.
• Online learning or synchronous classes may be possible to implement for some reason
such as when available rooms and facilities cannot accommodate every student or the
intervention caused by renovation activities cannot be controlled anymore - an online
setup of learning will not guarantee an effective education.
• The renovation project itself, especially its schedule and duration (since it will be done
during class hours and not on school break) and all the above-mentioned impacts and
consequences should serve as the signal to the concerned school staffs to address the
issues in physical facilities and other educational resources before the school year starts
to avoid any risk to students’ health and interruption to their studies.

• Local Government Units such as city or municipal governments, may also allocate funds
for school repair and renovation. They often have discretionary funds that can be used for
local school improvements. Schools can approach their respective LGUs for support.
• Donations and Grants: Public schools can seek donations and grants from private
individuals, businesses, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and international
organizations interested in supporting education initiatives. These donations can be
earmarked for specific school improvement projects.
• (Optional) Schools can organize fundraising activities within the local community to raise
funds for repair and renovation projects. This can include events like charity drives, fun
runs, and cultural shows.
