Introduction

According to research, taxonomy is widely used in the branch of

biology which helps us to identify the different species of living beings

(animals, plants, etc.), in order to understand their biodiversity and

evolution. This science helps to solve those questions that we can ask

at any time in the identification of a plant, animal, fungus, etc....

Taxonomy is determined as a science that deals with the main

methods of classification, which is commonly applied in the branch of

biology in order to be able to give a hierarchical and systematic

ordering, naming, grouping and naming of animals and plants. In

biology, organisms are grouped into mutually exclusive taxa, as well

as in taxa of higher rank so that each organism can be possible to

classify and recognize, from the above mentioned we have kingdom

(eg: protista, fungus), phylum or division (for example: anthropod,

enquinoderm...), class (mammal, insect, bird), order (primates,

galliformes for example), family (canids, grasses, legumes, for

example) genus (Homo) and species (Homo sapiens).

Scientists consider taxonomy to be of great importance because in

the search for understanding the immense diversity of life in the

world, they have been able to standardize a universal language to be

able to refer to a certain species they want to study.

Taxonomy if taken to the field of crops that are affected by insects,

fungi, etc. .... helps us to identify the correct species of those already

named to get to make an effective control of them. If the species are

not well identified we can make a mistake in formulation that can

lead to crop poisoning or even worse to a total loss of the crop.

This science has had countless successes but has nevertheless been

subject to criticism, in particular it is argued that the classification of

living beings into fixed and well-defined categories can be

problematic. Since there are living beings that present intermediate

characteristics, which makes it difficult to classify them in a specific

category.

In addition, this science carries out a very excessive simplification of

biological diversity, which can hide the complexity of the evolutionary

relationships between species.

In conclusion, taxonomy is a fundamental tool for biology, because it

provides a way of describing living beings that is used worldwide.

Although it has its limitations and criticisms, like everything else it

cannot be perfect. Its impact on the understanding of species

diversity is unquestionable and it is still a very broad field to be

explored.
  Conclusiones

Para mi fue un gran trabajo, porque se puede ver la importancia de la

biología en conjunto con la taxonomía a lo largo de los años adicional

de poder hacer una gran organización de la clasificación.
