Religious St udy 2 How do we respond concretely to God's Third Commandment?
The third commandment, "Remember the
Sabbath Day, to keep it Holy," encourages us to remember that, no matter how busy we are with our everyday life. God continues to show his love by remembering us to take time to relax and spend time with him throughout the day. Sabbath Day represents us a viewpoint and direction; it is more than merely a day set aside for worship. It is peaceful even in the midst of chaos and unrest; it is aware of God's and other people's presence even in the midst of a great deal of coming and departing, rising and falling. We, Catholics demonstrate the commitment to honor on the Sabbath day and thank God for keeping his promise to us. As his followers, we will get more intimate with our family and to the Lord that will strengthen our heavenly perspective and the spiritual fortitude that had inside us.
