Reproducing the Issue

1. you are using new asset accounting in sFIN or S4 system
2. you want to know how to close the fiscal year for FI-AA

Cause
Comparing to EPR, the procedure to close FI-AA fiscal year has been changed in sFIN and S4HANA system. Program
RAJAWE00 and transaction AJRW (which are used in ERP) are deleted and are no longer available. This function has been
replaced with transaction FAGLGVTR ("G/L: Balance Carried Forward"). Please refer to SAP Note 2342027.

Resolution
You can follow below steps to close FI-AA fiscal year. please ensure that here is no error in each step before you move on to
next step.
1. Keep fiscal year XXXX open in FI-GL before you close the fiscal year in FI-AA (T-Code: OB52)
2. Use transaction code: AFAR to recalculate values in fixed assets for the whole company code (PGM:
FAA_DEPRECIATION_CALCULATE)
3. Use transaction code: AFAB to execute the depreciation posting run up to last period (PGM:
FAA_DEPRECIATION_POST)
4. Use transaction code: FAGLGVTR to execute balance carry forward to new fiscal year XXXX+1 in ALL the Ledgers of to
Company Code(PGM: SAPFGLBCF by S/4HANA 1809, as of S/4HANA 1909 PGM: SAPFGLBCF_V2)
5. Use transaction code: AJAB to execute the year end closing for fiscal year XXXX (PGM: RAJABS00 by S/4HANA 1909,
as of S/4HANA 2020, PGM: FAA_CLOSE_FISCAL_YEARS)
