Purpose of Job The incumbent will be responsible for the field operations of the health programme of OLA
Foundation.

Essential ● Masters in Social Work in Community Mobilization/Organization and Development
Qualifications Practices/Sociology/Psychology or any other allied fields with 2 years of community work
experience or fieldwork
Essential ● 1-2 years of relevant experience in community development and practices, public

● Experience in working with other community-based organizations
● Should have hands on field experience
Essential Skills:

● Motivated to work in remote areas and with communities


● Keen interest and ability to work with women & community members
● Proficiency in English and Tamil is a must. Knowledge of both Telugu & Kannada will be an added
advantage
● Willing to travel for field visits and stay with the community
● Flexibility in working hours based on community’s need
● Prior exposure to community mobilization/internship experience in community mobilization
● Good interpersonal and communication skills
● Computer and documentation skills: Spreadsheets, Power Point, Word, Email, GSuite
● Good at defining and implementing processes
● Basic digital proficiency and ability to operate a smartphone
● Has access to a two-wheeler and mandatorily has a driving license
● High level of integrity and accountability
Key Roles/Responsibilities:

● Work with the Front Line Health Workers (FLW’s) in helping them understand community based activities
● Act as a link between community and FLW’s with regular home visits and identify cases of health risk
● Help the FLW in preparing home visit reports, family enumeration and detailed case studies of family
members
● Organize training programmes for parents on topics related to education, health, and vulnerability
● Ensure overall attendance of women is increasing in line with the goals set by the organization for the
VHSND and PSG meetings
● Actively engage with village influencers and leverage them to spread messages with noble social cause
● Actively work with the village committees and help form SHGs to support promote women’s health
● Coordinate and network with other civil society groups working in the social sector
● Actively work with the BMO and his team to ensure schemes and other health initiatives are handled well
● Coordinate and network with block and district level officers to ensure support to the FLW’s at the village
level
● Actively keep herself updated with all the requisite schemes and public health policies of State NHM and
MoHFW
● Provide timely, regular reports and manage ongoing feedback
● Be the brand ambassador of OLA Foundation
