Good morning/afternoon everyone,

Let me introduce myself. I am Sarah Castello and I am seventeen years

old. Today I am very excited to talk about a subject that concerns
everybody's life. I am going to talk about the idea of myths and heroes.
I'm going to deal with the notion of heroes. A hero is a person who
makes the world a better place by taking risks. But is this very necessary
to take risks to be a hero? Can we not just be ordinary? To begin with,
I'd like to give my personal definition : For me, an ordinary person is
someone who cares about his life, who eats and sleeps like everybody
else. It’s a person who wants the best for his life.

In class, we have studied different documents related to the idea of

making the world a better place.

Today we're going to look at a subject that's both challenging and

interesting: How can an ordinary person make the world a better place?
It's a question that often arises in the face of global problems and the
feeling of being useless. However, I'm convinced that each of us has the
power to bring about significant change. So let's explore some strategies
and examples together.

First, let's consider the power of kindness and compassion. Acts of

kindness may seem small, but they have an impact on the course of our
own lives and the lives of others. Whether it's helping out a neighbor,
volunteering at a local shelter or simply offering a smile to a stranger,
these gestures can brighten someone's day and inspire others to do the
same.

Moreover, it is essential to inform ourselves and others about the most

important issues. Thanks to digital technology, information is more
accessible than ever. By staying informed about society, the
environment and politics, we can engage in discussions to advocate
change. It's essential to take action within our own communities.
Whether it's organizing a neighborhood clean-up, building a community
garden or advocating local policy changes, there are countless ways to
make a concrete contribution to society.
