Chapter 3 Critique

Title: Effect of technical parameters on porous structure and strength of 3D printed calcium

sulfate prototypes

Author: Mitra Asadi-Eydivand, Mehran Solati-Hashjin, Arghavan Farzad, and Noor Azuan

Abu Osman

This paper presents a comprehensive investigation into 3D printed scaffolds with a water-

based binder and a plaster-based powder. Its thorough evaluation of printing parameters,

thorough material characterization, and lucid presentation of results are its main points of

strength. Better descriptions of the methodology, resolving constraints, and a more

thorough examination of plausible biological behavior are still needed, nevertheless. The

effect of the study could be increased by explaining the statistical analysis and going over

real-world applications. Overall, even though the research was thorough, more

improvements could improve the text's readability and tissue engineering relevance.
