Born in Dallas, Texas, the beautiful 16-year-old actress and
singer Demi Lovato became famous for her role as Mitchie
Torres in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock.
Besides acting, she has also a solo music career. Her first
5 album, Don't Forget, was released on September 23, 2008,
and it was a complete success.
Demi Lovato started acting at the age of six. She took her first
role as Angela, in Barney & Friends. She is a singer and
songwriter as well as a musician, playing the guitar and the
10 piano since the age of eleven.
But life hasn’t always been easy for Demi Lovato! Last
Wednesday, on a TV show, the Camp Rock star revealed she
was bullied when she was in the 7th grade. “Girls called me
names and left me out. I felt very lonely and depressed... I
15 didn’t want to go to school... I felt terribly!!! Of course at the
time I didn´t really know why they were making fun of me ...
But now, looking back, I know it had to do with the fact that I
was a working actress, and they weren’t... I had a completely
different lifestyle then everyone else at school... they were
20 jealous that I was a star!!!” Demi Lovato felt so bad that her
mom ended up taking her out of school so now she is home
schooling. Now she hopes to use her fame to help other girls.
"I want to help with bullying," she says. "Because there are
girls who can't just leave school and focus on their career, like
