I. Political Dynasties should not be allowed.


A. They will do anything to stay in power.
1. Dynastic politicians came from families highly placed in terms of money
and position.
2. Dynastic politicians’ power could promote narrow economic interests,
institutionalize economic inequalities, and could build a long-term
negative aim:
a. Vote buying
b. Gullibility or credulity of the citizens.
c. Absence of “Anti-Dynasty Law”
d. Corruption of government programs
3. Dynastic politicians create an unfair voting environment wherein electable
individuals are only limited to a set of candidates with familiar surnames
or family names established in a particular place or city.
B. They are prone to greediness.
1. Political dynasties restrict new candidates from participating in any
government positions.
2. Political dynasties would stick to former proven methods used and done
by their predecessors resulting in lesser new ideas and platforms to work.
3. Political dynasties are elitists and exclusionists that exclude new faces and
new voices to join a democratic decision-making process and participate
in any political leadership roles.
C. They would tend to abuse their authority.
1. Political dynasties would tend to abuse their power and shows an appetite
for corruption, political violence, and any blatant expression of political
avarice.
2. Political dynasties would hinder economic progress through manipulation
and empty promises to the citizen.
a. Political dynasties often emerge when there is a higher
number of poverties in a particular place where they can
easily manipulate the people with false advertisements and
assurances.
3. Series of corruption, unqualified government officials, and incompetent
elections are the effects of political dynasties under monopolistic control.
