In the UK, it’s common to see groups of teenagers walking around the streets having
nothing to do. This is because some areas don’t have much for young people to do
without spending a lot of money. However, in Hackney, in London, UK, there is a
fantastic place for young people to go to. The Springfield Youth Club provides a safe
place off the streets for young people to spend time with their friends.

Springfield Youth Club offers young people a wide range of activities to do from playing
sports like football and ping pong to swimming, biking, making art, cooking and even
going away on trips.

As well as having lots of fun, going to Springfield Youth Club is an educational

experience. The staff work with young people to influence and teach them important life
skills. Young people learn about decision making, taking responsibility and developing
their social skills.
