ThiS necessitates a thorougnknow'edge of this service instruc-

tion. andthedirectivescontalnedherein being strictly observed.

7
The URSUS C-385 tractor Incorporates:
- 4-cyHnder Diesel engine,
- single-stage master clutch t and a separate multi-disc clutch
for the control of the P.T.O. shaft operation,
- a--speed gearbox to be ,equipped as en optional extra, with
a two-stage torque converter which augments the number of
speeds forward from 8 to 16, and- that of the reverse speeds
from 4 to 8 t while enabling at the same time changing the
transmission ratio under load. without to disengage the clutch.
- rigid or sprung front axle - optionally,
-~ power assisted steering system.
- independent disc type foot brakes,
- hydraulic power lift incorporating an automatic bottom link
control actiont

- two-seat, safe driver's cabin~ all enclosed. with interior heat~

ing instaUation~
- pneumatic system for the controi of trailer brakes.
- electrical equipment cornplying with the requirements of Road
Traffic Code.
Correct control is imperative for a satisfactory tractor perform-
ance, as well as for extending the periods of operation between
the repairs, and thus for extending the life of the tractor on the
whole.
Pleas9# quote in your enquiries concerning the operation. the
serial number and the year of production of the tractor involved.
The identification plate is fixed to the bracket underneath the
instrument panel.
