TOPIC: Scientific drawings

Rules for doing scientific drawings

1. Use a sharp 2. Hb pencil to do drawings

2. Drawings should be large and clear so that features can be easily distinguished

3. No sketchy or double lines

4. To illustrate darker areas, use stippling or dotting, do not shade any area of the drawing

5. Drawing should have a title, title should be full, clear, concise and explains what is being
illustrated (title should be in all caps and underlined)

6. Drawing should always be neat and clean. Use a clean white

7. Draw on a blank sheet that is bordered (1cm on each side)


8. No coloring of drawing

9. Drawing MUST take up half of the page

10. Label lines Must be the same length- No arrow heads Must be seen and label lines must
no cross each other.

Task: Using the rules of scientific drawing correctly draw and label this drawing below.
