I am an Indonesia badminton player and i won Olympic Tokyo 2020. I Won World Championship and i got
Bronze medals in 2018 and 2019 and also i got Silver medals in 2023. I also won SEA GAMES and got Gold
Medals in 2019 and 2021 women doubles, and i got silver medals in 2019 and 2021 Women SEA GAMES
TEAM.

I have known Habib Alfariz personally since I first met him in 2018 at the Badminton Assocation Of
Indonesia. I was totally amazed by his enthusiasm and attitude on the court
. Since then we have been seeing each other quite frequently in tournaments around the
Indonesia. As an acclaimed badminton player, Habib Alfariz has appeared at both national and
international level championships and performed extremely well.

Mr. Habib most recently won the Asian School in singapore and got Bronze medals Habib has
secured podium finishes in numerous other national level events in the United States, and I would
like to shed some light on his more notable performances. From 2023 New Jersey open Habib
won Gold medal and at the Chicago Open 2023 he also got Gold medals. So far the winning at
these prestigious Tournaments have enhanced his National rangking to No.1 in Indonesia.

Unfortunately badminton has been perceived by many Americans as a backyard game, which has
resulted in under-funding, a lack of serious competitive options, and diminished media attention.
The USA lags behind the rest of the world in terms of
competitive standards, and has only enjoyed limited success on the international stage. This is
precisely why we should welcome top level players like Habib to our shores, because they can help
raise the competitive bar, attract sponsorship and enhance interest, awareness, and participation.
Ultimately, the goal is to produce a homegrown Olympic badminton champion, and with the ever
increasing popularity of the sport, and the proliferation of elite clubs such as Illinois, this is
beginning to feel like a distinct possibility.

By competing and excelling at leading international and domestic tournaments, Mr. Habib
has gained the respect and admiration of his fellow competitors, coaches, and supporters of the
game of badminton both at home and abroad. He is without question one of the best doubles
players in the U.S. today, and I have no doubt that if permitted to remain in the U.S., he will
continue with his impressive career trajectory and to inspire young American players to follow
in his footsteps

Beyond being a consummate professional and a great role model, Mr. Habib is a terrific
ambassador for the game, and for these reasons, I consider him an asset to our sport and urge
you to look favorably upon his visa petition, as I firmly believe that he is an internationally
recognized athlete who has been blessed with extraordinary abilities. Please let me know if I
