Leader(NICOLLETTE) Introduction
Is electronic payments, specifically GCash, quick and efficient or not? A pleasant
afternoon everyone! I am Nicollette Claire A. Napuli and here are my co-researchers,
Ella Jane M. Ibarra, John Carl Esteron, Angel Wayne Lumayno and Anna Mae Dahuya.
And now I am going to introduce to all of you our research study entitled “ EFFICIENCY
AND SATISFACTORY RATE OF DISTRICT 3 TEACHERS IN TANDAG CITY FROM
GCASH TRANSACTIONS”

It is reasonable to wonder why we chose this topic. We all know that COVID-19
pandemic has triggered unusual public concern about viral transmission through cash.
As a result, it boosted the use of digital and contactless payments.

According to the latest e-payments data of the BSP, more Filipinos are adopting e-wallet
or e-payment systems. The total retail payments volume increased to 30.3 % in 2021
from 14% percent in 2019.

GCash is one of the most popular electronic payment apps and it is the number one
finance app in the Philippines. It has 60 million users who use GCash as of March 2022,
which represents 83% of the Philippine adult population, so it’s on a huge scale.

So, we, as researchers, want to determine the advantages of utilizing e-payments for
transactions and how its usefulness and convenience are viewed as criteria for
choosing between e-payment methods. Now let me give the floor to Miss Ibarra for the
Theoretical Framework.

Theoretical Framework (ELLA)

Now I am going to present our Theoretical Framework. First is the Unified Theory of
Acceptance and Use of Technology. This theory can help our study for understanding
the adoption and usage of digital payment systems. It was stated by (Balakrishnan et
al., 2021) that the study will need to take into account looking at the individual's user
intention and usage behavior in order to understand the elements that can influence
mobile wallet adoption in the Philippines.

Second theory is the Innovation of Diffusion theory. The first social science theories that
can help boost consumer adoption by investigating how technology diffuses through a
certain population. It also explains the rate at which consumers will adopt a new
technology.
The last theory is TAM. It is a customer-centered approach to measuring new
technology uptake.The study will use the technology acceptance model (TAM) to
investigate people's behavioral intentions to use digital payment and e- commerce to
assess their technological proficiency.

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK (ESTERON)

This is the schematic diagram of the study. For this study the researchers follows cause
and effect model, the first frame presents the independent variable of the study which
includes the demographic profile of District 3 Teachers in the Division of Tandag City in
terms of age, sex, civil status, teaching position and years of service.
The second rectangular box shows the dependent variable of the study which is the
efficiency and satisfaction rate of District 3 teachers from GCash transactions. This
variable varied depending upon the response of the respondents.

For the statement of the problem, I will give the floor to Miss Lumayno.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM (LUMAYNO)

This was created to help clearly identify the goals of our research study. First statement
of the problem (read the sop)

Hence, a problem statement was created to have a clear concise description of the
topic or issues that needed to be addressed. The problem was stated, as what are the
efficiency and satisfactory rate of the District 3 teachers from GCash transactions.This
study will be expected to answer the following questions:
1. What is the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of;
1.1 Age;
1.2 Sex;
1.3 Civil Status
1.4 Teaching Position; and
1.5 Years of Service?
2. What is the efficiency of the satisfactory rate of these District 3 teachers from GCash
Transaction?
3. Is there a significant difference between the demographic profile of the respondents
in the efficiency unsatisfactory rate of district 3 teachers from GCash Transaction?

NULL HYPOTHESIS
The hypothesis of the study is that there is no significant difference between the
demographic profile of the respondents and the efficiency and satisfactory rate of
District 3 teachers from the GCash transactions.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY ( DAHOYA)
The result of this study is expected to add more knowledge about the E-payment
transaction and will be a big help to the following beneficiaries like Bangko Sentral ng
Pilipinas. The Bangko Sentral manage the Philippine e payment system and exercise
the monetary and financial system's stability and effectiveness.
Next is Business Industry, this study will help in reducing operating costs and making it
easier to manage trade contracts.
The E- payment Users, Tandaganons and teachers can also gain benefit from the given
data which will give them knowledge to determine the efficiency and satisfactory rate of
e-payment transactions.
This will also help the future researchers. This study can be utilized as a source or
reference if they conduct a research study as well.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION (NAPULI)

We, the researchers, are going to use sampling techniques to identify the respondents.
Specifically, random sampling to come up with 30 respondents over 4 schools in district
3. Furthermore, this study will be conducted in Tandag City.

For some of the terms that are conceptually and operationally defined in our study for
the better understanding of the readers. Here is Miss Ibarra.

Definition of Terms(ELLA)
First is E-payment transactions. E-payment is defined in terms as a way of making
transactions or paying bills online or through an electronic medium, without the use of
physical checks or cash.
Next is Efficiency Rate. An efficiency rate is to do something or to produce something
without wasting time, or energy the quality or degree of being efficient.
The third one is GCash. What is GCash? GCash is a mobile wallet issued by a Filipino
telco Globe Telecom. It eliminates the need for cash payments, and funds are
transferred directly into mobile wallets or bank accounts linked to the mobile number.
And lastly the Satisfactory Rate. A satisfactory rate is a positive relationship of customer
satisfaction. Customer satisfaction in use of e- wallets.

CHAPTER 3

RESEARCH DESIGN (NAPULI) Now let us proceed in Chapter 3, the research

methodology.
This study utilized quantitative research design through a descriptive survey method
which is governed by ambition of objectivity and reduces ambiguity. It is primarily
concerned with describing and interpreting the data with regards to the efficiency and
satisfactory rate of district 3 teachers in Tandag City towards the GCash transaction.

RESEARCH LOCALE (NAPULI)

The study will be conducted in Tandag City, Surigao del Sur. Specifically in the 4
schools, Bioto Elementary School, Tandag National Science High School, Mabuhay
Integrated School, and Telaje Elementary School.

RESEARCH RESPONDENTS (LUMAYNO)

Our respondents are District 3 teachers specifically from Bioto Elementary School,
Tandag National Science High School, Mabuhay Integrated School, and Telaje
Elementary School. We chose them to be respondents in our research because they
are one of the busiest people and they want to have fast transactions using e-payments,
especially GCash.
As mentioned by Świecka, 2018, people with higher educational backgrounds and more
material status are more likely to make cashless payments.

Sampling Techniques(ELLA)
(Now we’re going to proceed to the Sampling Techniques)

In this particular research the researchers will be using a random sampling technique
with the half of the fishball technique with the respondents chosen randomly without any
interference from the researchers themselves. This is to ensure an unbiased study with
an objective point of view. The population of the study will consist of 30 respondents all
from district 3 teachers in Tandag City.
Plans for distribution. The researchers are planning to do this by physical distribution of
the questionnaire, every process and procedures will be done physically.

Research Instrument(ELLA)
The major tool for gathering the data in this research study will be the research
questionnaire. It is a researchers’-made questionnaire and it consists of two parts. A self
made questionnaire prepared by the researchers, and the questionnaire indicates its
labeled by using its likert scale(Strongly Agree, Agree, Moderate Agre, Disagree, and
Strongly Disagree) with the scoring enter 1 to 5, and the questionnaire consists of 15
items.

Validation of Research Instrument(ESTERON)

In this study the researchers use survey questionnaires to gather the data. The
researchers will use a researchers’-made questionnaire under the descriptive type of
study, the questionnaires will be validated by at least 3 validators who are experts in this
field. The face validation includes the physical structure of the questionnaire while the
content validation includes the grammar, spelling, choice of words, and the thought of
the statement. The validators' advice and suggestions were then used to further
enhance the work.

Data Gathering Procedure ESTERON

In gathering the data, the researchers will follow the steps in gathering the data. First
the researchers will pursue first the approval from validators to conduct the study then
ask the permission of the principals of each school to allow the conduct of the study at
their property. Then the researchers then will ask for the approval from the selected
teachers personally for them to respond to the questionnaires. After that The
researchers will distribute the questionnaires with simple and exact directions to the
respondents. . It will be collected afterwards and the results will tally in order to interpret
the data and to give inference

Statistical Treatment of Data

Statistical data are the data collected from the survey result. The following statistical
treatments will be applied in this study.

First, Frequency Count and Percentage this tool will determined the demographic profile
of the respondents in terms of age, sex, civil status, teaching position, and years in
service

and the Average Weighted mean This will be used to determine the efficiency and
satisfactory rate of district 3 teachers towards the GCash transaction

Lastly, Anova. It will be used to determine the significant difference between the
demographic profile and the efficiency and satisfactory rate of district 3 teachers
towards GCash transactions.
