A duck-eye connection is a connection used to connect a conductor wire to other
components, for example fittings. Making this connection eye is done using rounding
pliers.This duck-eye connection is usually used to attach single-core cables to busbars. The
copper wire is made rounded so that when tightened with a screw it will be strong, because it
wraps around the entire screw.

 Explain how the process works

The processing time for making duck eyes in bench work practice is only up to 2 days, and
each bench is given paper instructions on how to make duck eyes, so that there is no
difficulty when doing it.
The following are the working steps for making duck eyes :
1. Measure the diameter of the bolt or bolt terminal
2. The diameter of the eye of the duck is larger than the diameter of the bolt terminal
3. Peel the end of the cable to a size 5 times the diameter of the bolt and increase the length to
a tolerance of ±1.5mm
4. The end of the wire that has been peeled, bent 900 to the left, then formed into a duck's eye
with rounding pliers, rotated clockwise
5. Check whether the duck eye shape you made is round/circular at the end of the stripped
cable
6. If it is round like a cable eye, check whether the connection you made fits
7. If it is correct, install the eye connection that has been made on the terminal according to
the work drawing
8. Make duck eyes from cable sizes 1.5mm to 6mm
9. Make the shape of the cable arch according to the working drawings sequentially from
exercise 1 to exercise 2 and exercise 3
