Scholarly Activity Summary

As a nursing professional pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, engaging

in scholarly activities is essential for developing and advancing my leadership skills in advanced

nursing practice (Loveridge et al., 2021). In this course, DNP-840A Leadership for Advanced

Nursing Practice, I have participated in several scholarly activities that have helped me grow

professionally and academically.

One of the scholarly activities I have engaged in is attending conferences and seminars on

nursing leadership and advanced nursing practice. These events have provided me with

opportunities to learn from experts in the field, network with other nursing professionals, and

gain valuable insights into emerging trends and best practices (Malloy and Penprase, 2020).

In addition, I actively participated in orientation and quality improvement committees.

This has allowed me to apply my nursing expertise to developing policies and initiatives to

improve healthcare outcomes and patient safety (Institute of Medicine, 2011). Serving on these

committees has also given me experience working with other health professionals and

stakeholders.

Moreover, I have authored scholarly works on subjects connected to nursing leadership

and advanced nursing practice, including journal articles and book chapters. These publications

have aided in developing my academic qualifications, demonstrating my subject-matter

competence, and advancing my nursing knowledge (Oermann, 2015).

I have been a guest lecturer at nursing schools and healthcare organizations. This has

allowed me to share my knowledge and experience with other nursing professionals and students

and contribute to developing the next generation of nursing leaders (Morton and Fontaine, 2019).

Generally, my participation in these academic activities has allowed me to develop and

strengthen my leadership skills in advanced nursing practice (Loveridge et al., 2021). This

experience provided me with valuable professional development opportunities, networks, and

contributions to advancing nursing knowledge and practice (Oermann, 2015).
