CANADA

Canadá is the North American country that stretches from the United States in the
south to the Arctic Circle in the north. The capital of Canada is Ottawa and the
official languages are French and English. Its Population is 38.25 million and its
Surface is 9.985 million km²
Canadians love ice hockey, Canada is an amazing country in many ways, it has
spectacular scenery, a strong and growing economy.
Canadians in general are tolerant, respectful and polite and accept the differences
of each culture.
One of their customs is to celebrate Thanksgiving. In this celebration, families
usually gather and give thanks for all the blessings received in the year. Their
dinner is stuffed turkey with a delicious cranberry sauce accompanied by potatoes
and vegetables and an apple pie for dessert. It is celebrated on the second
Monday of October while in the US it is celebrated in November.

The flag has 3 stripes, the one in the center is white and is twice as wide as the
two on the sides that are red. In the center of the white strip is a large red maple
leaf, whose meaning is that of nature and the environment of Canada.

The Canadian dollar is the official currency of Canada and has been in use in this
country since 1858, the year in which it was declared that all accounts would be in
that currency.
