The Graphic Builder provides specific tools to create and edit graphic objects that
compose a Graphic window. The Graphic Builder contains the following types of
toolbars.
1. Standard
2. Draw
3. HIS Functions
4. Format
5. Edit Object
6. Part

SCREEN IMAGE PRINT VIEW Displays the screen print preview of printout.
SCREEN DATA PRINT VIEW Displays the print preview of data set for objects.
COPY MODIFY Copies the graphic modifier setting of the selected object.
SNAP TO GRID Switches the snap to grid setting between on and off.
TEXT COLOR Displays the menu from which a text color is selected.
FILL COLOR Displays the menu from which a fill color is selected.
LINE COLOR Displays the menu from which a line color is selected.
LINE TYPE Displays the menu from which a line type is selected.
LINE THICKNESS Displays the menu from which thickness of a line is selected.
ROTATE 90O COUNTER Rotates the selected object 90 degrees to the left.
CLOCKWISE
ROTATE 90O CLOCKWISE Rotates the selected object 90 degrees to the right.
General Tab
The General Tab is used to set basic attributes that are common to all objects created.
The General tab sets the object name, display position and size, as well as whether
the object can be used as a tag object and whether data setting is possible during
debugging.
Object Name-
sets name of an Object Position-
object sets the display
position ( x & y
coordinates
Object Size-sets
the width and
height of an
object Tag Object-calling a
faceplate of the assign
tagname. But limited
to the ff. objects:
1. Object w/ modifier
2. Data character
Data Set During
3. Data Bar
Debugging- The display
4. Instrument Diagram
and action of graphic
objects can be checked
by using the debug
function of the Graphic
window.
The Text tab is used to set the format, color and background color of the text.

Background Color
The Line tab is used to set the line attributes such as type, thickness, and line end
shape.
The Fill tab is used to set the fill types and pattern styles when filling graphic objects.

The graphic modify is a function that changes the object’s color, blinking status and
pattern based on the process data and the conditional formula.

Process data can be used in conditional test formula for graphic modification.
The formula using process data is in “TagName.DataItem” syntax format.
When using the data status of a function block, the formula can be set in
“TagName.#DataItem” format. Up to 45 alphanumeric can be used to script a
conditional formula.
Unary operators
=, <> (not equal), >, <, >=, <=, and (AND), or (OR)
Types are:
1. Numerical
2. Percentage

6. Time
7. Tag-List
The Label tab is used to set the label, label color, safety guard to be attached to the
pushbutton object.
Sets whether or
not to attach a
guard.
Select the [Softkey...] from the [Insert] menu of the Graphic Builder to display the
dialog box in which to assign softkeys.
Sets whether or
not to attach a
guard.
System User
These are system defined parts that are Allows user to re-use generated parts
included as default in CS3000. file.
Part Registration

Conditions:
1. Implement the drawing so that when feed flow is initiated the flow
valve would change in color.
2. Provide PV indications for the controller balloon with engineering
units.
3. Also, use touch targets to the instrument balloon so as to call its
corresponding faceplates.
4. An additional requirement would be that the level indicated in the tank
should correlate with the indicated level in the level controller.
After generating your graphics run test function to see if the requirements
are met.
