Minister Al-Fadley Inaugurates Largest Poultry Industry Expo in Middle East
Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman Al-
Fadley inaugurated the second Middle East Poultry Expo today at the
Riyadh International Center for Conferences and Exhibitions. The
expo, which runs until May 3, features the participation of over 200
exhibiting companies from 37 countries.
Under the theme “Global Innovations for a Prosperous Industry,” the
exhibition aims to showcase the latest innovations, technologies, and
solutions in poultry farming. Leading international companies will
exhibit these technologies and innovations, showcasing 500 products
that are part of the supply chains of the poultry industry.
Moreover, the Expo aims to become a distinguished leading platform
for trade and scientific exchange between local investors and
international suppliers in the Middle East. These endeavors are
critical given that the Kingdom is the largest producer of poultry in the
Middle East and North Africa region and the world’s third-largest
consumer of poultry meat.
Industry leaders meet at the largest annual event in the region
The Middle East Poultry Expo (MEP), in its second edition, achieved great success in bringing
together hundreds of executives and thousands of professionals in the poultry industry from
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the countries of the Middle East. The event, which is
sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, was attended by senior
leaders of the poultry and livestock industry, including local and regional companies and
government agencies, over a period of three days to discuss and review developments and
the latest technologies for poultry breeding and production, managing production and
marketing operations, in addition to highlighting the challenges it faces. The poultry sector in
relation to the health and nutrition of animals.

Global innovations for a thriving industry!


The Middle East Poultry Expo (MEP) has taken "Global
Innovations for a thriving Industry" as its slogan in this edition.
The number of products, technologies, innovations and
solutions presented by the exhibitors has reached more than
500 products that enter the chains of the poultry industry and
related industries such as grain and feed production and the
field of animal health and nutrition in addition to breeding and
production of poultry at all processes
Saudi Arabia leads the growth of industry in the Middle East
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture announced that it will continue to increase the contribution of domestic
poultry meat production to 100% by 2030, more than before, as this will be achieved by more investments into the poultry industry
from the private sector with government funding and support through the Agricultural Development Fund. In the next three
years, the poultry industry will witness significant and remarkable growth to achieve 80% self-sufficiency in poultry meat by 2025.

Ahmed Al-Ayada, Undersecretary of the Ministry of


Environment, Water and Agriculture for Agriculture, stated
that the poultry sector in the Kingdom has achieved a high
rate of self-sufficiency in table eggs, amounting to 126%, while
self-sufficiency in broiler chickens reached 68%, amid
aspirations to achieve complete self-sufficiency in 2030.
The Agricultural Development Fund displays its financing products at the exhibition
The Agricultural Development Fund has participated in the activities of
MEP expo in its second edition and reviewed matters related to
financing various poultry projects. Where a number of specialists
participated in the pavilion to receive the public and visitors from
farmers, investors and those interested in the agricultural sector, to
answer their inquiries regarding credit products or services provided by
the fund to investors in the poultry industry in all its sectors, which
include; Broiler chicken farms, table egg farms , hatcheries, poultry
grandparents farms

B2B Arena succeeds to hosting +400 meetings throughout the days of the Expo
B2B Arena achieved great success in gathering more than
800 beneficiaries through 400 meetings that were held in the
B2B Arena in the heart of the exhibition. The B2B Arena
service allowed visitors to view the exhibitors and schedule
meetings with them in advance, which saves the time of
visitors and exhibitors. These meetings took place over three
days, achieving the satisfaction of all beneficiaries. It seeks to
link opportunities and visions between professional visitors
and representatives of exhibiting companies.
Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority presents opportunities and
contributions to the audience of the exhibition
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority
participated in an introductory pavilion in which it received
over three days hundreds of visitors to the exhibition and
specialists in the livestock sector in general and poultry in
particular, where the authority present the investment
opportunities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the livestock and
poultry sector and the contributions and services provided by
the authority to investors and producers in the emirate, and a
number of researchers in the authority participated in
presenting scientific workshops for the visitors of the
exhibition on the most prominent poultry diseases and
solutions to combat them, in addition to the development of
poultry production in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and areas of
investment in this sector.
