Title: Water and the Aquatic Environment

Aim: To investigate Archimedes Principle.

Reference: Pages 335-337 in Textbook

Procedure: Page 337 in Textbook. Also place tripod stand under beaker when collecting water
from the displacement can.

Discussion:
What is upthrust?
What is the Archimedes principle?
Compare the weight of water displaced with the weight of the stone.

This report is to be hand written.
You are to write the Lab report on your own as the logical sequence of the report is being
marked.
