Redesign and Development of City Website

With the onset of the pandemic, it was required to limit the influx of people during the BOSS
(Business One Stop Shop). The City Government of Calamba has implemented an online
scheduling system to limit daily BOSS transactions. BPASS offers an online registration for new
businesses, renewal, and retirement of business as well. It also has a module to monitor the
users who were not able to come on their set appointment date/time.

The ICT office of the City Government of Calamba primarily acts as an IT support for the whole
LGU. Their main function is to repair and maintain all IT related equipment. The CRMS serves as
a digital platform in logging all the repair and maintenance requests. The system also holds a
record of all the repaired/maintained equipment and as well as it’s specifications. CRMS has a
report generation module that will show the count of repairs and maintenance that each
technician has performed. It can be filtered out by date and it also shows all the on-time and not
on-time repairs.

Aside from repairs and maintenance of equipment, one of the ICT office’s main functions is the
inspection of IT related equipment. Upon a successful inspection, the ICT office keeps a record of
that inspection inside the IRMS. The system also offers a quick way to generate the total count
of all inspected within the year or the covered date of the report can be customized if needed.

An internet connection is essential in today's interconnected world for accessing information,

communication, education, work, entertainment, and various other aspects of modern life. The
City Government of Calamba offers a public wi-fi service throughout the premises of the main
city building for clients to use.

eBOSS is an innovative and user-friendly online platform designed to streamline and facilitate
business transactions in the City Government of Calamba while ensuring compliance with the RA
11032, Ease of Doing Business (EODB) law. EODB is a significant government initiative aimed at
simplifying and expediting business processes, reducing bureaucratic red tape, and fostering a
more conducive environment for economic growth. eBOSS will offer online transactions to
provide clients an easier access to government services.

With the ever-changing use of designs, and as well as the technology used in modern websites,
it is just that the city website be rebuilt and redesigned using modern design and technology.
ASP.NET Core will be used for the development of both the back-end and front-end of the city
website. The new city website will also offer dynamic content such as the dynamic creation of
the website banners, news and events section, the announcement sections and other pages if
the need arise. The new website will also utilize a database system in storing the dynamically
created content.
