Indeed, range is a function of ground speed Vg ; the ground
speed is what enters into the consideration of distance
covered over the ground. The best range will be reduced in
a headwind condition and the best range speed would be
higher. The opposite occurs in tailwind condition, the best
range will be increased and the best range speed would be
