Packing Lists
While every deployment or exercise will require Soldiers to have special individual equipment; commanders,
officers and NCOs will utilize the individual packing list as the reference when publishing packing lists for
individuals, teams, and detachments.

Command Teams who are responsible for exercise deployments will publish a specific packing list for each,
and ensure that each Soldier receives the list and required equipment before they perform pre-combat
inspections.

General: Soldiers will pack personal equipment in accordance with the packing instructions that follow:

This prescribes the standard packing list when deployed. Based on METT-TC some items may be worn rather
than carried. At a minimum all personnel will carry all of the items listed on the Standard Packing List.

All sensitive or serial numbered items are carried in the assault pack tied to the back with 550 cord. The only
authorized carry-on baggage is the CIF-issued MOLLE Assault Pack.

Laptop computers in a laptop case are the only exception to the above restriction. This is for
company/battalion/brigade staff personnel only.

The only gloves authorized to be worn as an outer glove is flame retardant (i.e.: NOMEX or Leather), glove
liners made of polypro or nylon will only worn as liners.
