The RULES of GOAL setting
Prioritizing Your Goals
• How do you decide what to do first? How do you adjust your
goals? This is called prioritizing.
Prioritizing means that you decide what is most important to you
right now. Choose what is most important right now.
1.Focus mainly on that goal.
2.Add additional goals as you become comfortable with your
efforts.
3.Being flexible is important. Change your focus on goals as your
life changes.
THE MOTIVATIONAL IMPACT OF SELF-EFFICACY
AND MINDSET
• SELF-EFFICACY
• The person’s belief that he/she can successfully perform
behaviors that will produce desired effects (Engler,
2012)
• In psychology, self-efficacy is an individual's belief in their
capacity to act in the ways necessary to reach specific goals.
• The concept was originally proposed by the psychologist
Albert Bandura. Self-efficacy affects every area of human
endeavor.
THE MOTIVATIONAL IMPACT OF SELF-EFFICACY
AND MINDSET
• MINDSET
• Your mindset is a set of beliefs that shape how you
make sense of the world and yourself. It influences
how you think, feel, and behave in any given
situation. It means that what you believe about
yourself impacts your success or failure.
